We really liked this hotel. The location was perfect, near the Forum, the Colliseum, 6 minutes to the Moses statue, 15 minutes to Trevi fountain, wonderful restaurants just around the corner. The staff was incredible- breakfast staff, all the ladies at the front desk, they were so friendly and helpful in whatever we needed. The breakfast was plentiful and good. The room with king bed was large and kept clean. We just had 3 problems. First, the internet was poor. Many evenings we would come in and find many people in the entry area because that was the only place the internet would work. Second, the mattress was as hard as the travertine columns at the Forum. Third, the area around the hotel has a lively night life, til 1-3 am. So, if you don't need internet and don't mind a very firm bed and can sleep through people laughing and shouting through the night, choose this place. Again, the staff, the location, and the room size are amazing. Just be aware of the other details.

Hotel in a very good location. 10 minutes to the Colosseum. The reception is very friendly and helpful. The elevator is small, but there are also stairs, so those few extra steps daily won't harm anyone. The room is very clean, cleaned daily. Inexpensive minibar. In our room named Chopin, the WiFi worked flawlessly. The air conditioning is indeed a bit noisy, but believe me, after a whole day of sightseeing, you fall asleep and don't hear it. However, those who are light sleepers might have an issue. The bathroom is fine. My tall husband didn't complain about the size of the shower. Breakfasts are tasty, the same every day, but it didn't bother us.

We stayed at the Antica Locanda for 3 nights. Our party had a double room and a triple room. The rooms were quite nice with our room having two windows over a quiet alleyway. The beds were comfortable and there was a small mini-fridge with mini-bar in the room. This hotel is very conveniently located. The breakfast is served at a cafe a few minutes walk away and is very lovely. A selection of pastries, juice, ham, cheese, bread, yogurt, and a hot drink. My only complaint about this hotel is a pretty common issue in Italy, the cigarette smoke from just outside the lobby permeates the hallway pretty strongly, but that was a pretty minor issue considering the comfort for the price. I would definitely stay here again.

A fantastic boutique hotel in a great location. The hotel in the heart of Monti could not have offered us more on our first stay in Rome! The room for a family of three had ample space consisting of double bed and a chez lounge bed separated by a dividing wall. The room had Roman charm with the stone ceiling and other small details. The bathroom and room was cleaned on a daily basis with the staff doing a great job! The room was equipped with a mini bar ($ extra) stocked as required with beer, soft drinks and vino. Air conditioning was provided. Just up the street from the hotel is a small supermarket which offers all supplies you may require! The roof top terrace was beautiful, the flowers and plants made the terrace a wonderful area to sit and have a drink in the evenings listening to the hustle and bustle in the alley ways below. The breakfast provided was tasty and a great start to a day of sightseeing! We would definitely stay at the hotel again based on location and comfort!

What a lovely hotel! We were thrilled to find that it was even more wonderful in reality than it appeared online, where it looked very nice. The front desk staff was wonderful and helpful, and our gorgeous room (Azzurra) was in the adjacent building, equipped with an elevator. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. We even had a small balcony, too. The primary building has a rooftop where we could drink coffee or a glass of wine, and just sit and read. The location was excellent: we were a quick walk from the Colosseum, and a 20/25-minute walk to Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Campo de Fiori; and a 30-minute walk to the Borghese Gallery & Villa. Great restaurants (Osteria Oliva and Satiro were the best in the neighborhood) were 2 minutes away. We would love to stay at this hotel again.

We loved this quaint boutique hotel. The rooms were lovely and charming and very clean. The staff was warm and welcoming and very helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and served to us in a lovely room. It consisted of homemade bread and pastry, meats and cheeses and various coffee choices, juice and yogurt. Overall this place was lovely, in a great location near many restaurants and sites and is a great value. It had a beautiful roof top patio and garden which we utilized.

Antica Locanda has a great location a short walk from the Colosseum and within reasonable walking distance to most major sites. Our room was small with an inconvenient step up level that squeezed the size further. It was quiet during the day but quite noisy in the early AM hours. AC was controlled centrally and could not be adjusted. The small hot water heater in the bathroom was inadequate for two successive showers. Frustratingly, the WiFi did not work in the room. Breakfast was basic. Staff seemed disinterested in assisting with anything. Would choose elsewhere if in Rome again.

Cute interior and close to the main attractions. However, we had no wifi or television in our our room on the 3rd floor! We kept asking for help and the front desk staff insisted that there was nothing that they could do. They sent a maintenance guy to our room who had no idea how to get the password for the tv. They were never able to get the wifi working on the room. The problem with this is that we're now dependent on our phones to buy tickets to events, make dinner reservations etc, since there is no permanent telephone in the room and no written guidebook of any kind. The front desk folks would just claim the had called some vague technical service and they were waiting for assistance. Be prepared to spent a lot of time in the lobby because that's the only place with internet access.
