This hotel was charming and close enough to walk to some attractions. The room was lovely, clean and bed comfortable. We had a spa room with an Italian spa. There was no face washer or hair conditioner but there were bidet towels. It must be an Italian thing as we found neither of these in any of the hotels we stayed at. There was no ironing board or iron in the room which meant to you had send out washing. Suggest taking a travel line and underwear hanger. Rooftop bar had great views and was a great place for late afternoon drinks. The hotel does not offer dinner facilities. Overall a great stay.

I travelled here in August and the hotel is a great location. Air conditioning is really powerful and easy to use! A must for Rome in August! Just up the road from the Barberini Square and Spanish steps. Most places are within walking distance. Free maps at reception with tourist spots marked. But it’s far enough away that it’s quiet at night. Some of the hotels closer to the centre looked really noisy as there are bars and cafes outside, this hotel is not. Reception staff are so helpful and show you where to go. There are a few restaurants nearby which you can walk to safely at night. Komi sushi and La Lampada are both really good. Come il latte 24 Via Silvio Spavente is an amazing ice cream shop which is located really close. It’s in the top 10 in Rome. Reasonably priced, try it out . The room is good sized and very clean, not luxurious but not bad either. Bathroom is clean and good sized. There’s a large day bed which can be made up for a child. Breakfast is on the 7th floor and is great. All the usual continental options and cereal tea, coffee, juice (weirdly prune and pear but no orange?) also toast and scrambled eggs and bacon. Also you can order waffles and omelettes although there is a charge for these. The views over Rome are brilliant to see in the morning. It’s not too hot. In the lobby is a bar where hot and cold drinks and alcohol and a few sandwich and salad options. There is a roof top bar open from 5pm which is lovely, cocktails are pricey though. Its pseudo antique but not old or run down. It’s quaint and bijou. This is not a luxury hotel. It’s 4 star so it’s reasonably priced and I think really really good value for money. But it’s got everything you need for a really good hotel in Rome. The staff cannot be faulted, reception staff are particularly lovely. Great English speakers and so so helpful, smartly dressed and professional. I can’t fault this hotel, we had a wonderful holiday and the hotel was ideally placed for us. We walked down the hill to all the attractions in the morning and got taxis back. Although the hop on hop off buses stop just down the street and it’s also on a bus route. We didn’t try the metro. So all in all a great place to stay in a brilliant location.

My family and I recently stayed here (last week) . The hotel is in a great local . Quiet enough so you’re away from the hustle and bustle . But close enough to walk to the city . About 15 min walk into central Rome . When we arrived at the hotel we were given a lovely warm Italian welcome. The reception staff were fab. Really knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and extremely clean. The rooms are a little bit tired here and there but it didn’t spoil our stay . Breakfast was basic . The bacon and scrambled eggs were gross . So avoid them, but everything else was well presented , fresh and nice . The coffee was the best I’ve had in any hotel . The views from the restaurant were terrific. I personally wouldn’t rate this as a 4*. Probably a 3* but I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a good base , comfy beds , great staff and clean . With a few licks of paint and some adjustments this hotel could definitely be a 4*. We never used the spa but it looked nice . Thank you for a lovely stay . We really enjoyed it ♥️

This Hotel has the wow factor. Authentcally Italian with beautiful decor. Our room was so lovely and catered for all our needs. The staff were attentive and gave good advice on taxi's and the local area. Breakfast on the 7th floor was delightful, wonderful view. Drinks on the 8th floor also had wonderful views with live music. It is quite expensive up there so be prepared for that. Lovely place for the sunset though. Turn right out of the hotel and there are plenty of places to eat. Turn left and just up the street is some less touristy places to eat.

WOW What an amazing hotel. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel welcome. All the staff were friendly and courteous. Anything asked for was attended to immediately. Reception desk all staff very Knowledgeable about the area. The room was cleaned daily. Continental breakfast included in price when booked. a vast array of buffet food each morning. You could order different food for breakfast at an extra cost but really there was no need to. Within easy walking distance of Trevi fountain Spanish steps and the Collesseum. There is an amazing park and zoo 5 minutes away. Lots to see and do. Would definitely recommend a visit.

3 night stay at the Hotel Romanico Palace. Practically perfect (other than the breakfast coffee). Lovely room - clean, well equipped, decent size, view over front of hotel. Good breakfast (but let down slightly by the horrid coffee), friendly, helpful staff, gorgeous public areas and amazing roof top terrace. Surprisingly reasonably priced for drinks, 20 to 30 minute walk to all major sights (except the vatican which was 15 euros via Uber) and lots of excellent restaurants nearby. 5 out of 5 for all aspects (can't even knock a mark off for the horrible coffee!!). Would definitely return- thank you.

Having a traditional Italian decor does not itself justify a 4-star rating. The beds are comfortable and made-up daily, but the rooms are small, cramped and have no coffee/tea/shower gel, etc. unless requested. There is no restaurant in the hotel and the rooftop bar is lifeless, probably due to its limited range of drink offerings all costing a flat 22 euro! Breakfast is very basic and exactly the same daily, being among the worst that I have experienced; tinned fruit, tasteless luke-warm coffee and another 5 euro for a glass of orange juice, up-to 100 euro if you want to look important and use the tiny terrace with its ‘spectacular panoramic views’ of roof slates. The only free hot breakfast option is greasy bacon and old reheated scrambled eggs (check the picture). Some of the breakfast staff are quite rude. Avoid this penny-pinching hotel as there are several better options in the same area that do live up to the advertised rating.

This hotel is in a good area and if you don’t take too many wrong turns from the Termini you can get there on foot in around 15 minutes. The building is beautiful and the lobby is full of lovely antiques and decorated in the Italian way. I was feeling very unwell on my arrival and had fainted outside the hotel as the heat and lack of water and probably the glass of Prosecco en route had dehydrated me. Janina the hotel concierge was excellent handing me a bottle of water with sugar to revive me. She also booke reasonably priced taxis and gave advice on several trips . Very helpful and friendly young woman with a lovely personality Our room was a little underwhelming and disappointing compared to the lobby. Our window looked on to the air conditioning vents at the rear of the rooms and there was a broken door on the bathroom and looked a little run down. We were tired but unpacked and left to explore. Next day we asked for a room change and immediately janina the concierge had another be made available our things were moved in and made available on our return from a days exploring. This room was much better and looked into the front of the hotel with a little balcony. The beds are really comfortable with lovely linens and fresh towels and toilet paper every day. But we had to ask for top up shower gel and shampoo and a kettle and cups for our room which we normally would expect in a 4* . No access to an iron in room either . Maybe this is an Italian thing. Breakfast was adequate but not a lot of variety and no fresh fruit as you’d expect in Italy. Everything was tinned. The tomatoes were delicious and the pastries were really fresh and tasty but we you should definitely skip past the scrambled eggs and bacon as they didn’t taste very nice very dried out . We missed it a couple of times because of the lack of variety. Having to pay extra for other foods that you’d expect to get automatically in other 4* hotels Most 4*hotels I’ve stayed in Italy vary things daily, but as in other reviews no orange juice or decent coffee available and the water in the hot urns was lukewarm on several occasions. Although the staff in the other parts of the hotel were friendly helpful and smiling all the time especially Janina and the lovely young man who helped with several issues including unlocking our safe after we messed up! we felt that several staff members in the breakfast room made us feel unwelcome. Chasing us to Check our room numbers again after already having checked in, this happened twice. shouting to another staff member to close the doors at 9.50 am and being curt when asked for help regarding the toast machine. Also a very unwelcoming sign on the access stairs to the roof terrace in the morning warning guests not to trespass? This is not very welcoming , it means that unless you are willing to pay €22 for a cocktail or €10 for a glass of wine in the evening bar you have no access to the area. Not 4* in my opinion. All that being said it is a nice ho

We stayed here last week for 4 days and it’s a great hotel. The location is good as we enjoy walks so it’s 20 minutes to the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain then nice walks to all the amazing places Rome has to offer. The 24hour kiosk outside is perfect, although not owned by the hotel. We will definitely be back here.

It was our first time to Rome and we stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel was great and very accommodating. Janina was awesome. She took such great care of our family and was very pleasant and responsive. She got us taxis' gave us recommendations of places to go and did it all with a smile. I cannot say enough about her and they way she treated us as guests in her hotel.
