Good for a short stay if you are out and about in Rome. Good check in, very smooth. I struggled with the lifts if you have more than one large group both coming or departing at the same time. Room was spacious and a good shower. Wifi was so so should be better. I struggled to find the breakfast room. Hints * ask at customer help desk if there is a problem * problems with your room go to help desk * slow wifi report it to help desk NB always expect trouble with lifts if one or more large groups are leaving or departing

I absolutely do not recommend the Hotel Ergife in Rome. My experience was disastrous from the start. The rooms are in terrible condition: carpets full of stains, dirty bedspreads, and worst of all, a bedbug infestation. I stayed in room 1537, and after just one night, I ended up with bites all over my arms and neck. When I informed the staff, their reaction was completely indifferent, as if this was a common occurrence. They moved me to room 2315, but the situation was even worse. The night was a complete nightmare because the entire hotel seems to be infested with bedbugs. The food didn’t save the experience either. Breakfast was simply terrible: the scrambled eggs had the consistency of jelly, the coffee made with powdered milk was undrinkable, and the only fresh fruits available were oranges and apples, while the rest were canned in syrup. The pastries were overly sugary and flavorless. On top of that, the service is unprofessional, the internet doesn’t work, and I honestly fear I might have brought bedbugs home in my clothes and luggage. Before choosing this hotel, I highly recommend reading more reviews because I’m not the only one who has experienced this. In summary, the Hotel Ergife is an absolute disaster and should be avoided at all costs.

Hotel is a little tired although it is currently undergoing renovation. Our room had a balcony which was covered in concrete pieces and dust so we could not use it. Hotel used by major tourist bus companies so it is always very busy with slow lifts. Be careful if using the cafe downstairs as the staff do not speak English very well and get the orders incorrect. Lovely pool to enjoy a cooling dip after a day out! Hotel is not near restaurants or other useful places but good if you have organised pick up there.

Our tour group booked us here. There are a lot of tour groups staying at this hotel. Buses come and go and the elevators can get very crowded. The common areas are fine but the carpeting in the rooms and hallways is stained and wallpaper coming off in places. Our room was spacious though and had a great view of the lovely pool. The water in the pool is ice cold though. The restaurant is awful and food was tasteless. Also pricey. The bar by the pool serves food and is a better choice. I had a really good margarita very strong and hamburger and fries weren’t bad. The tiramisu was the best I had in Italy. Not as horrible as a lot of people say. We slept good here … it was quiet on the 5th floor. Ask for a room with a pool view.

**Terrible Experience - Do Not Stay Here!** My stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First, the breakfast was beyond disappointing—stale bread, tasteless coffee, and barely any options. It felt like they put in zero effort to provide a decent meal. But that was just the beginning. What’s worse is that our bags were **stolen** during our stay, and the staff was unbelievably rude and unhelpful when we reported it. They didn't show any concern or try to assist in any way. In fact, their dismissive attitude made it clear they couldn’t care less about their guests. The overall service was abysmal, and for the price we paid, it was a complete rip-off. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone—it’s not safe, the staff is terrible, and it’s definitely not worth the money. Avoid at all costs!
