Relais Colonna

If you are planning a trip to Rome and are looking for a charming and welcoming place to stay, look no further than Relais Colonna. This lovely hotel is run by the ultimate host, Gianluca, who truly goes above and beyond to make his guests feel at home. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Gianluca took the time to sit down with us and provide us with great recommendations for things to see. He was incredibly attentive throughout our stay, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms at Relais Colonna are tastefully decorated and very comfortable, with all the amenities you could want for a pleasant stay. But perhaps the best thing about Relais Colonna is its location. It is ideally situated in the heart of Rome, with easy access to all ofthe city's major attractions. The Relais Colonna is a lovely place to stay that is highly recommended for travelers who want to explore Rome's historic center and enjoy all the city has to offer. The owner, Gianluca, is a superstar who goes out of his way to make sure his guests are well taken care of. We will definetely come back!

We booked this hotel in Rome as part of our honeymoon. We were very excited as the pictures looked beautiful and the location seemed perfect. Upon showing up, there was no one there to let us in even though we were there within “open hours”. We had trouble finding the room and getting in contact with the host to “buzz” us in. Once we got in the room every wall was damaged with either holes or scratches (see photos) and the air conditioner was broken but repaired with a “quick fix” according to the host. It was just a switch on the wall with no temperature control and did not cool the room. We went in to the bathroom to find the toilet was also broken as the flush buttons barely worked. Inside the bathroom we also found mold in the shower and along the walls. The most exciting part of our stay was finally being able to leave this place. The host is very unfriendly and did not want to please his guests with the smallest questions like (my room does not have an iron). If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Rome there are definitely much better options out there.

Visto l'omonimia della struttura con un'altra immediate vicinanze preciso che la mia recensione riguarda il B&B Colonna al numero 27. Punti a favore a mio parere della struttura sono la buona posizione rispetto al centro città, l'accessibilità ai mezzi pubblici (fermata bus di fianco al portone d'ingresso) e l'arredo e pulizia delle camere nella norma. Alcuni tutto sommato sopportabili disagi durante il soggiorno sono stati l'insonorizzazione in generale della camera, il rumore dello sciacquone che a tratti persiste e la sicurezza di parte dell'impianto elettrico. È stato al contrario invece estremamente sgradevole, arrivate a destinazione alle 14.00 perciò in perfetto orario di check-in, dover attendere oltre un' ora in strada finché un gentile inquilino del palazzo ha aperto il portone principale permettendoci di entrare, per poi attendere ancora parecchio tempo sulla porta del B&,B che qualcuno si degnasse di dare finalmente risposta alle numerose chiamate ai numeri di riferimento (dove loro dichiarano di essere sempre disponibili al bisogno) per poter finalmente sbloccare la chiave per entrare in camera. Discorso simile per la prima colazione. Al telefono ci viene detto che avremmo ricevuto i voucher per poterla consumare nelle mattinate successive in un vicino bar. In seguito mai abbiamo ricevuto voucher, le colazioni le abbiamo sempre fatte a nostre spese, e mai abbiamo ricevuto risposta da parte dello staff ai nostri messaggi di chiarimento dei giorni successivi. Abbiamo solo ricevuto un messaggio di scuse quando oramai eravamo già partite. In definitiva non avendo mai visto ,e neanche mai sentito nessun membro dello staff,ci siamo sentite fortemente lasciate allo sbando per tutto il tempo del nostro soggiorno.
