We just returned from our 5 night stay at The Goethe Hotel. The hotel is stunning. From the moment you enter the lobby, you’re transported to an inviting space that is beautifully appointed. We stayed in a junior suite, which was very spacious with a large bathroom, separate closet space, and large sofa. The bathroom products are made by the Italian brand Etro and all linens and towels were of high quality. We traveled as a family of 6, with 3 rooms between us and we all agree that the beds were some of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve ever slept in. The blackout velvet curtains made it easy to sleep in late in the mornings. There is a wellness room with a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi which we booked for one day during our stay. It was a lovely respite. This unique and charming boutique hotel is located about a 10 minute walk to Piazza del Popolo, with many nice restaurants. The Spanish Steps are about a 15 minute walk in the other direction, with gorgeous views and luxury shopping. Other popular sites such as the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Navona are all also walkable within 20 minutes. The area is very safe. We were out every night after 10pm with kids for gelato nearby and felt very safe. If breakfast is included in your booking, the offerings are very good, with a selection of pastries, meat, cheese, bread, fruit, yogurt, cereal, Prosecco, coffee, juice, and eggs and bacon which are made to order. The staff of The Goethe Hotel were all gracious, welcoming, and accommodating. The front desk staff made excellent recommendations and bookings for nearby restaurants. This hotel was perfect for a quiet, luxurious, and restful retreat for our very busy Roman itinerary. Highly recommended!
