BB Danilo

We stayed for 4 nights in June. A kinder soul than Danilo you will not meet! He greeted us at check-in with snacks and coffee and even ran down to a nearby restaurant to get us something more substantial to eat after a long travel day. The BB is perfectly located in the heart of Trastevere with easy access to everything you will want to do. We walked to almost everything in the city, with the exception of a bus from the train station to the hotel. Danilo was kind to offer his insights and suggestions about things to do and places to see. He is very proud to be a Roman and offered valuable information that only a local would know. He sat down with us and got out a map to show us around the city. We stayed in the largest room and the bed was comfortable and we slept well. The plumbing in the bathroom was noisy and leaking during our stay. When I mentioned it to Danilo he told me the entire bathroom was set to be remodeled the following week. He has since sent me photos of the new upgraded bathroom. It is an old building but he is slowly upgrading and modernizing it. There is a kitchen stocked with snacks, breakfast items, a coffee maker and hot water dispenser. I will most definitely be checking in to Danilo’s on my next visit to Rome. A very affordable option in a perfect location with a very caring and thoughtful owner. By the time we left it felt like he was a longtime friend.

I would recommend staying at BB Danilo if you are visiting Rome. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the charismatic host, Danilo. His genuine hospitality and friendly demeanor immediately made me feel at home. He went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, offering valuable insights into the best local spots and activities that only a knowledgeable local could know. The accommodations at BB Danilo was authentic. The room I stayed in was impeccably clean and exuded a delightful rustic charm with a private bathroom and balcony. Be sure you specify if you'd like a private "in room" bathroom, as I am not sure if all rooms have one. Breakfast was available each day for your own taking. It included sliced meats and cheeses, cereals, yogurts, breads and pastry and was enough to start our day. The location of BB Danilo couldn't have been better. Situated in the heart of Trastevere, it allowed easy access to all of the popular sites. We were able to easily walk to most areas, especially to the vibrant cafes and streets in Trastevere. Danilo's recommendations for local restaurants and off-the-beaten-path attractions were spot-on, adding an extra layer of authenticity. I truly felt like I was experiencing the city as a local, thanks to his insider knowledge. He even introduced us to the delicious street food suppli! I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Firstly we arrived at Danilo’s late at night and he was very accommodating while we got inside he talked us through everything over the phone. The room was really nice and clean, the mattress was really comfortable and upon request I got a 2nd pillow, the bathroom facilities were good, after reading some other reviews I was apprehensive about the noise from the pipes however they were not bad two or three “whoosh” sounds and that was it so I found it fine!! There is noise outside however, due to the location being in a city so it’s to be expected, bring earplugs if that bothers you it’s a very easy fix. The location was really spectacular we were in perfect walking distance from everything! Danilo was such a perfect host we met him in the afternoon of our first day and he drew us out a map of everywhere to go, what to see and where we would find some great food, he also told us where not to go and I found that as two young women traveling alone we were very grateful that we had someone that cared to look out for us that way! I would undoubtedly stay here again and I will recommend this place to everyone who asks where to stay in Rome!!

Roma’da cok guzel bir konumda, neredeyse heryere yuruyerek gidebileceginiz bir B&B. Danilo cok misafirperver ve ilgili. Odalar cok temizdi. Kahvaltilik bir cok urun mutfakta her zaman hazir ve taze bekliyor, yalnizca kahvalti saatinde degil gece aciktiginizda da atistirmaniza imkan sagliyor. Guvenle tercih edebilirsiniz.

Ormai siamo arrivati alla quarta visita in questo b&b e varcare quella porta mi è sembrati come entrare a casa! Danilo ormai è un amico, un fratello...o forse ancora di più! A distanza di qlc anno siamo tornati a trovarlo per via del concerto di Renato Zero perché come già ho detto in altre recensioni da qui hai Roma in mano e con 10min a piedi stai al Circo Massimo!!! Appena entrati ci hanno accolto un profumio di pulito e luci calde e accoglienti nel corridoio. La stanza pulita e ordinata da poterci camminare scalzi. In bagno abbondante kit set cortesia e in cucina subito un espresso caldo che ci aspettava per darci il benvenuto. La mattina poi super colazione dolce, salata, per celiaci e per intolleranti. Insomma cosa ci vogliamo dire? E niente...sei sempre il migliore...continua così e sii sempre te stesso, perché proprio il tuo essere te stesso dà una marcia in più al b&b e un motivo a noi per rivolgerci a te!!! Grazie di cuore di tutto da me ma in particolare dalle mie due bimbe che ti adorano!!!
