Motel 6 Rolling Meadows, IL - Chicago Northwest

Very unhappy - place smells like cigarettes and *****, dirty bathrooms, I guess booking a non smoking ‘deluxe’ room meets u get met with cigarette butts and unclean rooms, health risk.

I usually have a good track record when it comes to Motel 6s, I completely understand that you get what you pay for, and I completely understand that you're pretty much taking a gamble with them. But I gambled and I lost with this one. I'll start with the good, the room served its purpose of being a room to sleep in and store mine and my friend's stuff while we went to Combo Breaker for the weekend. I am now done with the good things about the room. On to the many, MANY problems with it. First and foremost, whoever they got working the front desk either needs to quit or be fired because she, CLEARLY, DOES NOT care about her job. The bucket I dropped my keycards in at the end end of my stay did a MUCH better job than she did because it, ACTUALLY, did its job. Second, upon my arrival to my room, there were bloodstains and holes on the comforter, stains and holes in the sheets, the room had, CLEARLY, not been cleaned because the room smelled like, straight up, urine and got stronger as I got closer to the bathroom. Third, the TV just, flatout, ****** and had probably been there for a small eternity. It was too dim, except for, what looked like these orbs of light in a checker pattern, it would also turn itself off for, absolutely, no reason and the remote only worked when it wanted to. Fourth, the beds were super uncomfortable. You could, probably, sleep on the floor and be more comfortable, however, I wouldn't recommend it because the floor was, extremely, filthy

No Humanity Made me walk to a gas station for a microwave oven to heat my food at 11:30 pm. I saw kitchen with the oven could have had little bitnof humanity so sad to see people like this, I was starving and I politely requested for any help.

Check in was at 3 pm and we arrived at 630 pm to a filthy room. We were told to wait 10 minutes outside for them to clean it. We refused to wait. We had to change rooms which was a huge inconvienance after being on the road so long. To make things worse we were gone all day on Saturday May 17th and returned to see they didn't clean again. We had no clean towels or washcloths at all. When asking why this wasnt done when I checked out at the office they told me I was supposed to call them and tell them if I wanted it cleaned. We got back at 11 pm. No one was in office anyway. UNEXCEPTABLE. The most aweful and frustrating experience. Never again

The property is kind of old, with plenty of parking. The room was fairly clean. The WiFi signal was bad. Maybe because I had an end unit. The room is basic, with only soap was provided, no shampoo/conditioner. There is no coffee machine nor refrigerator. For the price paid, it's a decent stay.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel—check-in was smooth, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. While there were a few minor issues, they didn’t significantly affect my experience. I would recommend this hotel for a reliable and comfortable stay.
