Afton Mountain Inn

My husband and I had a great weekend at Afton Mountain Inn! We are so glad we found this spot. The rooms were great and equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub and pool was a huge plus!! We were located super close to a ton of the wineries and breweries which was perfect. We definitely want to come back again with friends!

Great room. Reasonable price. Spotless. Attention to cleanliness unsurpassed. From-scratch cooking is a pride of the Inn, and a pleasure of anyone aware of good food. My only hesitation in this worthy applause is that it may help cause a No-Vacancy sign next time we are in Virginia. And have no doubt about it, if we are anywhere remotely close to this Inn, we'll call them first.

I got the chance to visit Afton Mountain B&B over the weekend and just loved it. From the moment my husband and I entered, we felt so welcome. It's historic and beautifully preserved, yet still offers plenty of what we look for like whirlpool tubs and luxurious beds. The Ingrahams are incredibly welcoming innkeepers, the yummy bars that they leave for guests looked so tempting (yet I was good to my diet)!. The glow from the stained glass windows when you enter just lasts throughout the visit. The roses were in full bloom in the gorgeous gardens next to the inn, along with pleny of Iris's too. It's in the perfect location for a wine tasting tour or visiting Monticello and Ashlawn-Highland too. I highly recommend Afton Mountain B&B to all couples!

I stayed for one night at the AMBB with my friend after touring Blue Mountain, Wild Wolf and Devils Backbone and couldn't be happier with our stay. The room was adorable and the staff were friendly and very hospitable. The cozy back porch was a lovely hideaway to relax after the long day out and about and listen to the crickets chirping in the mountain air. Breakfast in the morning was a wonderful surprise with fresh fruit, delicious local eggs and veggies and a magnificent strawberry pastry hot Out of the oven! I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone planning on staying in the area.

We had a short stay but felt right at home immediately thanks to the exceptional hospitality. Great location for 151 activities and Wintergreen. Historical building with modern amenities. Great service and breakfast. Thanks, we will be back again.

My sister and I had a sisters weekend in Afton and loved our stay at Afton Mountain Bed & Breakfast. The hosts were lovely and their breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed their pups too. We stayed in The Looking Glass room which was roomy, clean, comfortable, and welcoming. They even have a noise machine in the room you can choose from many beautiful sounds as you drift to sleep. Mattresses were comfortable and the view of the property from the windows was great. They leave yummy snacks in your room too! The rest of the house has comfortable rooms to hang out and brochures to read about the area. The dining room is quaint and a good place to get to know the others staying while you are there. Local food and drinks for breakfast were so delicious. Our hosts had great recommendations for our weekend too. The grounds are vast and beautiful. I wish we would have had more time to explore them and enjoy the pool. Can't wait to go back!
