Hotel Gabry

Excellent small and friendly Hotel. The rooms are spotless and clean. The staff are very helpful, especially Marko, and they were always happy to give advice regarding travel and how to get around. The breakfast was superb with lots of choice. The hotel even gave guests a couple of evening meals events which were free and available to all the guests.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Gabry September 2024 and we couldn't fault it at all. All the staff were polite and super helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, it truly was a feast, and all resolve of not going back up for seconds and thirds did not last long as it was just too good! The position of the hotel was ideal, just a short walk to the lake and a comfortable stroll into the town itself. The hotel puts on a free buffet at the bar on a Friday night too, which was, as we came to expect, delicious and a lovely treat. There is so much to do, too. We hired ebikes from the hotel for two days. They give you a choice of different priced ones. We went for the middle price and were not disappointed. Although bicycle traffic was heavy in the town, once you are out onto the cycle paths it is nice and quiet, and the views are stunning. On one of our many walks during our stay, we took the scenic lift up to the Bastione, and there are a few trails you can take once up there to continue exploring. We also quite by chance found steps up to Forti Monte Brione, which we really enjoyed... just be prepared for A LOT of steps as it is quite a climb. It is absolutely worth doing, though, as the views across the lake and Riva Del Garda are stunning. At our request the hotel organised our transport back to the airport as it was a very early start and they even provided us with a pack up for breakfast and offered us coffee at 5am! We would most definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Not quite the sum of its parts.. very clean but rooms are basic and functional at best. No drawer space and limited hanging space. Lights were either all on or off.. no in between and no bedside lamps to use in the evening. Breakfast very good with a wide choice, no other food available apart from breakfast and drinks can be ordered from the bar whilst you’re at the pool but no real information readily available to let you know. Reception staff didn’t seem that friendly. Probably more suited to those staying for one or two nights only but not for longer.
