Hotel Villa Enrica

Excellent hotel in every way. Extraordinary staff. Modern, spotless, spacious rooms. Well situated across the street from the harbor, close to lots of shops, restaurants (although the hotel restaurant is top-rated in Riva; we happily ate here 2 of our 4 nights), and hiking/biking/sailing right outside the door. Family owned and operated which is evident by the attention to detail in all areas. You will definitely “feel good” while staying here.

Paid over €4,000 to stay there for 6 nights As you’ll see our view doesn’t really match up with the photos on booking dot com. If I had known that was going to be the view I simply wouldn’t have booked a room for so much money. Basically a view of looking into the hotel in front of us. We had a hot tub in an upstairs part of the room. Sat into it for a half hour and nearly got a stroke with the heat. The upstairs part of the room had a large balcony but you’d to walk up a spiral staircase to get there, it wasn’t really of any use whatsoever. Had breakfast paid for as part of our stay and gave up on it after the first morning. The bar area is tiny and has no atmosphere there. Would have felt awkward to have sat there as it would have basically only been us and the bartender. The other reviews are amazing and I honestly can’t for the life of me see whatever it was that those people saw in the hotel. Genuinely wouldn’t recommend. Our room wasn’t spacious either for the money we paid. Very little to do in Riva as well. Spent a lot of our time here in the room watching Netflix in bed with the doors shut and air con turned up to the max. Definitely didn’t help that it was very hot and humid while we stayed here. Couldn’t recommend it to anyone to stay in this hotel, too much money for not a whole pile in return. PS. The hotel in front of us had a rooftop bar which was basically looking straight into our bed if we opened the curtains. Also the checkout was at 11am, in every hotel I’ve ever stayed in it’s usually 12pm.

We have traveled all over the world but this hotel was amongst the best. Clean, modern with a bit of old world flair, courteous and friendly staff and a genuine care and love for the hospitality industry is what you can expect from Hotel Villa Enrica. Wonderful location, great food, awesome bartender and all around a great place to stay!!
