Casa Madrigueña

This is a weird one because the rooms are cheap and the reviews seem good on google. However, it seems they are slightly old and the place has gone downhill. Luckily I stayed one night because I was unsure about this place. Basically I was not given the wifi, there was no check in or check out. The worst part was not having running water for my entire stay!! Apparently they forgot to turn it on because when I complained a man came and turned it on. But after check out!! Then I heard him lie to the owner on the phone saying it was always on!! I had to confront him and argue with him. Overall, I wasted a lot of my morning arguing with staff because I refused to pay. They didn’t offer what I was paying for so luckily didn’t pay. I feel bad for the owners because they are friendly and kind. However, the people who work there are taking advantage. More concerned with getting free wifi and using up the hotels water and electricity! They have a machine downstairs which pumps water into plastic bags so they can sell!! Which I’m pretty sure the owners have no idea about. Just look at my pictures from all the rooms I went in, because the rooms were unlocked and I was the only person staying. Dirty with mosquito and stains all over the walls. A fridge which hasn’t been cleaned in years!! A key which is bent, an air con unit which is shared for 2 different rooms!! And a tree branch used to the shower curtain. Toilets which don’t flush. This place is cheap for a reason.
