Excellent all round. Super staff. A breakfast that was amazing. The most beautiful gardens and a lovely pool. Very clean and tidy. Connections could not be easier. Train from Lametzia to the station where hotel staff pick you up on golf buggy. Beach within easy reach. Crystal clear sea.

Me and my son (6 years old) had a week at Resort Tonicello and we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The resort is really cosy and you get a real Italian vibe from staying here. This is a place where you can really relax and enjoy the beautiful view from the pool, restaurant and beach area. And most importantly - you do not have to fight for the sun beds at the pool:) Please note this spot is a bit remote - meaning no supermarkets nearby.

I stayed in the resort for a week with some friends. This is a very large structure with everything you might need for a relaxing vacation: comfortable rooms, a private beach (with bar), restaurant, pool, gym and so on... I enjoyed very much our staying, we spent most of the time at the beach (with an appreciated shuttle service) and during meals we could try the amazing cousine of Calabria, with ingredients supplied by local companies. Staff was always kind and helpful. Position is also logistically strategic: train station directly connected to Lamezia's airport is very close by.

This is not a LUXURY resort This hotel is listed as a luxurious resort and while it has many amenities such as a spa that was wonderful and brand new and a great pool, much of it needs repairs and updating. They have no luxurious amenities in the room. The furnishings are inexpensive, plastic soap holders and plastic trash can old sheets that are thread bare and rough, towels that are worn and stained we had to ask for new. No towels at the pool or at the sub chairs. You have to rent them daily from the desk if you need towels. Inexpensive plastic bag of shampoo and bar soap. Nothing was luxurious. They offer a got cart to move you around the property to the beach but it’s very old. With torn seats and floor board. Some of The chairs and umbrellas were tearing or thin. The coperta in their restaurant was more than any in the restaurants in Tropea Our bed was sooo hard that i asked for a new room they said but madam you booked that room. I said i just asked for accommodation for three people I didn’t know the condition so the second day they brought me a bed topper. A thin mattress of sorts. I looked under the sheets a realized the first night i was sleeping on only a box spring and the mattress they brought was only about 3-4 inches thick so still not comfortable. And it was old. Our room had cracks in the shower and the furniture was like Ikea particle board stuff and had a headboard that was a piece of poster board with a printed design screwed to the wall

We cannot recommend Hotel Resort Tonicello highly enough. The only pity for us was that we did not stay longer. Good food, amazing team/staff, beautiful pool and pool area, practically on the beach. We are a family of five and we all truly fell in love with this place. It is amazing value for money (we stayed off season in mid October). The view at breakfast time (if you can ignore the wasps) is breath taking.

Worst mattresses ever Honestly, the quality of the facilities just weren’t very nice and the logistics to get in and out of the room more challenging to say the least. The breakfast was good but the room had the worst mattresses I’ve ever slept off. The linens all need to be upgraded, the shower is the smallest shower ever.

Bellissima vacanza in un resort appetibile e immerso nel verde, dotato di tutto (con ben due spaziosi parcheggi auto) e vicino ad un mare splendido con spiaggia attrezzata privata (da raggiungere in due minuti con comodo servizio navetta sempre a disposizione benché su chiamata). Colazione ampia e buona, camere spaziose e funzionali. Molto buono il ristorante e il servizio bar/ristoro a pranzo in spiaggia. Staff disponibile e cordiale. Torneremo.
