Hotel Do Campo

The hotel is located in a pretty and quiet area with stunning sea views and run by a lovely and fully involved family. The rooms are clean, spacious and refreshed daily, excellent food both at breakfast and dinner with a reasonable choice and very helpful staff. More flexible with a car but local bus stop 100 metres away. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked to return in the early spring.

Beatiful hotel with amazing food. Room always clened very well. Being there was the most biggest pleasure in this year. The stull always nice and heplful. It's hard to find anything bad at this place. I hope I will go back there in the future..

Our first holidays in Madeira in this hotel. I can only recommend hotel Do Campo. Employees are very kind and helpful, served food is really delicious. Rooms are big enough and location is perfect to make trips around the island by car. Thank you and I hope we will come back.

My second visit in 7 months and I was extremely satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. Room was always cleaned each day and left tidy, breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choice wether Full English or Continental. The pool os beautifully clean and the view from the terrace, dramatic. I hope to go back again in September ( Same room I hope!)

The hotel was a bit shabby, the towels and sheets had stains in them which was disgusting. We also had ants in our room, every day in different spots. The room had dust in corners and even some dust bunnies.The worst part was the service, it started on our first day when we tried to check in but we couldn't find anyone at the front desk or reach them by giving a call or ringing the door bell. We walked down the halls to find a cleaner that went upstairs to get someone to the front desk. Second day the cleaner shut down electricity from our room which turned the fridge off of and our yougurts were ruined. I tried to make sure that it won't happen again but a rude lady at the front desk said that fridge is not for foods because food should be bought from their snack bar. I contacted our travel agency and they called the hotel, after that other worker came to say that fridge will be on also during the days. Also the bar was a disappointment, especially lack of Engish speaking waiter. I ordered a salad with roasted pumpkin but they serve salad without any pumpkin. It was a big hassle with 3 waiters that spoke English just a little bit, they just tried to tell me something in Portuguese/Spanish (I don't understand a word). They brought another salad and tried to replace the missing pumping with carrot. I just wanted the salad removed from the check as they couldn't serve according to what I ordered, but the communication didn't work so I had to go to the front desk to make it happen.

The location was perfect for island exploring. The view was stunning. Accommodations were clean and well attended. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning there next year.
