Hotel Presa

I am writing this because my experience at this hotel was so awful I really need to warn people before they consider booking. It's not a cheap hotel so a reasonable standard of comfort should be expected. Frankly my room didn't look like anything had been spent on it since the 1980's. It was tiny, had no air-conditioning, the paintwork was worn and the laminated wooden floor looked dirty. Worst of all, the bathroom had a lot of clumsily applied mastic and mould as well as a broken toilet roll holder. Throughout the night I could hear the cistern trickling and only got some sleep when I put my earplugs in. The resident spider didn't look too happy about any of this either. The included breakfast consisted of a single slice of toast, butter a portion of jam and a cup of coffee. Pastries were available but at a cost of €2.50 each. I was booked and paid for two nights but I cleared off after one night of this horror story in favour of a nice hotel in Santander,. BE WARNED!

The service was awful and non existing arrogant and they had different prices depending on who served you a beer. In general bad really bad. They tried charging us for food that was never delivered and when ordering we asked to be told if there was items missing on the menu. Both plates we ordered were not complete according to the menu. They treat Spanish and foreigners very different and it shows! I would never recommend this restaurant!!

We were supposed to have a deluxe double room with view of the lake. They couldn't find our booking and we ended up with a room on the second floor,which just squeaked in as a "deluxe"! The bathroom was minute, I am slim but Only just fitted on the toilet,next to the sink.. The staff was super friendly and dinner was lovely with freshly grilled ceps ( boletus). The whole hotel was very well run and spotless. Beautiful place to go walking around the lake, surrounded by majestic mountains

Worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Reading previous bad reviews unfortunatly we experienced exactly the same. The menu was in Spanish with the prices on. We photographed it to use in our translation app. We picked something, then were advised to use the English menu (without prices). Charged €25 instead of the Spanish €19. We knew what happened to the last English person to complain 😟. Also charged €9 per night to park our motorbike in their underground garage. Spoke to the other biker in the morning who didn't pay anything. We were also given the 'British' room. Tiny toilet and burnt bum as the radiator is right next to the toilet. Seems to be only the foreigners who have this room. All in all a very bad experience and one I would say avoid if you're not Spanish.

Hotel was fine but the restaurant was mediocre at best. Not much to the town as it is not the original - town was relocated when a reservoir was built. Good stop off location for an overnight but not a destination in itself
