Island Blue Hotel

This is are 3rd time to this hotel and it never disappoints From the warm welcome to the very clean and spacious rooms and all the staff that make every visit a memorable experience Would like to shout out to Marios the pool bar manager at the Almyra Bar Outstanding service always smiling and helpful and knows your tipple lol 😂 Can’t wait to return! Absolutely fantastic 10 day holiday at Island Blue. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean with a good shower and cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen. Great selection of foods at the buffet style breakfast with the friendliness of staff. Special mention to Marious and team at the pool bar who made sure we were well looked after. We will be back!

On arrival (very late) we were greeted with a golf buggy and a very friendly driver to take us to our room. Room was wonderful and cool as aircon was spot on and powerful. We had pre ordered a shop from the local shop on site so I was so pleased to have the water there on our arrival. The shop itself has everything when you go in and again super friendly staff. We stayed in a triple room on the 3rd (top) floor. We had a beautiful sea view but all the rooms look fabulous. So many pools to choose from in all the three hotels connected to each other. Swim up bars were great too. Breakfast was great with lots of choice constantly replenished. Staff were so friendly and kind. Demitria worked both in the pool bar later on in the evening and the breakfast area and she was never without a smile and a conversation. She's there on work experience whilst completing her masters and I for one would employ her in a heartbeat. You can see why people return year upon year. Even as we were leaving with our cases (which we could have asked for a golf buggy collection) the guy collecting the bins outside took the time to wish us a safe journey home! In the evening we used the bar next to the reception before we headed into town or to watch some of the hotel entertainment after our evening meal. We would watch George on his golf buggy picking people up and taking them up and dropping them off all over the place! Not sure where he took them but he was always asking did we want a lift. He's a definite character amd genuine good guy. The path to the beach is beautiful as is the beach. Sunbeds are 20 euro for the day with an umbrella and there is a scan code to get food and drink delivered to your bed from a local restaurant. Bed attendants are super friendly too. We split our holiday with a part stay at the end in Falaraki and I can safely say we didn't want to leave. Music all day around the pool from chilled ibiza style to 80's & 90's hits. The pools were so warm and clean. A wine and a beer was around 9.5 euro. Gyros is 9.5 but the pool bar menu is much more than this and so tasty. Staff at the bars are really friendly and you can justvsee that they make peoples holidays. Beds & Umbrellas everywhere. No rush to be out of the pool in the evening or leave the beds, it's just so laid back for people like us who arnt in a rush to get to anywhere fast. Obviously that's different with young kids with early starts and evenings. Kids were allowed to play and are so welcomed. This place is a place we will return over and over again. We recently stayed here for our wedding at the Veranda and Elia. Island Blue hotel rooms, pools, services and staff are all great. Everything is clean and well maintained. The rooms are big, there were no issues getting sunbeds at the pool, there was plenty of choice at breakfast and it was replenished often. In fact the hotel is better than some 5 star places that we've stayed at. We had guests staying at the other two hotels at the resort and these were both fantastic too. The 3 hotels share facilities so there is plenty of choice for pools, bars etc. The Zen Island Spa and staff are also amazing. The treatments are great and at a really reasonable price. A number of people (us included) have been talking about how much we'd like to come back (hopefully next year). Pefkos is a gorgeous town too with plenty of amazing restaurants. We had the best stay and wedding day. Thank you to everyone who made it so perfect.

The perfect stay in every way. The breakfast options were delish, the rooms were massive and very clean. The shower especially was really big. Our room had a patio area walking out straight to the pool. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough, we’ve just returned from our 3rd visit. I have nothing negative to say. The apartments are huge, 2 separate bedrooms both of which are en-suite & have a small kitchen area. The staff cannot do enough for you, all really friendly & helpful, good selection of food at breakfast & the pool menu has plenty of choice & is also yummy! You can also use the facilities at the sister hotels pefki island & Lindia thalassa although I would say island blu hotel is the best for children, there is a decent size toddler pool which our 5 year old enjoyed playing in & the other part of the pool is huge! There is a shop on site which sells everything you would need! You can also order a delivery to your room which we always find really handy as I order it just before we arrive meaning we have a few bits in to snack on once we have checked in. Pefkos its self is stunning & just a short walk from the hotel, there is definitely something for everyone! Nice relaxed restaurants, fancier places, chilled bars or louder ones. Most bars have a kids area, although they can be a bit run down my 2 sons love them, it’s nice they have somewhere to run around & aren’t just made to stay at the table. Literally our favourite place on earth!
