Domaine les Crayères

We chose this hotel for our recent three day stay based on their TA reviews and for the location while visiting Reims. When our taxi driver drove into their drive, our mouths dropped open and he said, Good Choice! Needless to say, we agreed and were not disappointed with our choice as every detail exceeded our expectations. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Like others have written here, the entire hotel and grounds are classy and elegant. We were lucky to arrive on the evening of a special Breast Cancer fundraiser and the place was lit up in pink which added to the ambiance. Upon our arrival we were greeted to champagne and tea cookies in their cozy lounge and afterwards escorted to our beautiful spacious and well appointed room. Breakfast in their dining room was over the top. Again, classy and elegant and the amount of food to choose from and the presentation was amazing. This was a first class experience for us and we would not hesitate to return. To us, it was worth every euro! Merci pour cette merveilleuse expérience.

Our experience at Domaine Les Crayères was absolutely incredible , a perfect blend of French elegance, history, and warm hospitality. Nestled in Reims, this legendary five-star Relais & Châteaux property truly lives up to its reputation as one of the most beautiful hotels in the world. I deeply regret having to write this, but I believe it's important to share our experience so others can be properly informed before booking. I recently stayed at Domaine Les Crayères in July 2025. After check-out, a valuable personal item — an iPad — was accidentally left behind in the room. The hotel promptly confirmed that the item had been found. We were advised to pay for the return shipping through a third-party service recommended by the hotel. We followed all instructions precisely, paid the fee, and trusted the hotel to handle this process responsibly. However, weeks later, the parcel has gone missing, and no one — neither the hotel nor the third-party shipper — is able to confirm what happened to it. What’s worse: The hotel refuses to clarify who on their staff physically handed the item to the courier. They will not provide the name of the person responsible for choosing the shipping method. There is no accountability from the management despite repeated and professional communication. As of now, we have no idea where the parcel is, and no one has taken ownership of the situation. We have received only vague responses, deflections, and empty apologies. For a hotel of such high standing and reputation, this level of disorganization and complete lack of responsibility is not just disappointing — it is absolutely unacceptable. I would strongly caution other guests — especially those traveling with valuables — to think twice about relying on this hotel’s support or integrity in case something goes wrong.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left: A fantastic experience! The friendliness of the staff is exceptional, the room was perfect (super clean, comfortable bed, lovely view over the park), the breakfast sets a new level for breakfast quality and the bar is a place where you can sit an entire evening, enjoy fantastic wine and just enjoy life. They truly understand how to turn a few days to feel like a one week vacation. We come back in August and we are very much looking forward to see you again!

From the moment that we walked in the front door, everything was perfect. We highly recommend seeking out this property for a wonderful and relaxing vacation.

For old world charm and modern luxuries, Les Crayeres is hard to beat. Not a large hotel which makes it feel more of a treat! There are fewer than 20 rooms in the main mansion. A new spa and six more rooms are due to open across the park in 2027. Great start thanks to the valet, whose smile was genuinely warm and glass of bubbles. Les Crayere is within easy walking distance of Ruinart and Veuve Clicquot (everyone wants their bags!) The Empress Eugenie Room is impressive, replete with that 'just new' smell, incredibly comfortable bed and stunning terrace. The top range Toto, marble bathroom and luxury Guerlain toiletries (not fixed to the wall) all help raise the bar. A super room for a honeymoon or special celebration. The Michelin starred restaurant was closed on Monday but packed Brasserie Le Jardin does good food and a great wine list with the set menu for 42 Euros good value. The limited options for wines by the glass is a shame.
