I have stayed there several times over the last 3 years times because it was cheap. Just business stuff. Just a place to spend the night. Up early the next day and out the door. Always just one night. Cheap yes. Beginning to really go down hill, imho. Lots of construction workers. Housekeepers nice. They require a photocopy of your drivers license that they retain. Why? I can only guess that they have a lot of damage, cancelled credit cards and theft. Certainly is loud. Lots of comings and goings and loud hallway guffawing late into night. Work hard party hard , I guess. But cheap. Finally reached my breaking point with the young male clerk who is a real piece of work. Canceled last two remaining reservations. They were nonrefundable, but dear God, I couldn't stay there again. Cheap has limits. There are lots of hotel rooms in the Myrtle Beach area, 90,000 I am told. My advice: find another place and pay more to get a room not as sketchy, loud, beat up and unfriendly. I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again. Much better for business travelers at Comfort Suites, half mile on left toward Myrtle Beach. A little bit more money, but a world of difference in staff, cleanliness, and quiet.
