The location is great, cca8–10 minute walk to both the train station and central Reading. The room was basic but functional and suitable for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall service was good. However, I was disappointed with the breakfast. At £10, I don’t feel it was worth the price, and I would not recommend paying extra for it. The breakfast is served only between 6:30 and 8:30, which is quite early, and I think the serving time should be extended until at least 9:00. Overall, a reasonably priced hotel in a very convenient location, with friendly staff, but the breakfast could definitely be improved.

Nice, central location in Reading very close to The Oracle. The room was quiet and the staff were friendly.

Good hospitality and well kept facilities. Showers were nice and the place had a vintage feel.

The over cleanliness of the hotel was pretty poor, hallways were beat up and in need of repair, the sheets were stained and there was dust everywhere. Especially dirty window seals and cigarette burns on the bedside table. The first night the adjacent rooms were arguing and playing loud music until 5am, the second night it was more quiet but the hallways smelt of ******** and every half hour or so someone was throwing stuff about in their room. It has the potential to be an outstanding stay, the staff were fine and coping well with what they have. it’s a shame the people in the area let it down. Missed breakfast so I could get some sleep once everyone had settled down before having to check out and travel again.

The location was nice. However, the room and amenities are pretty old.
