Claustrofobically small room with even smaller window to the backyard. We had sauna in our room, but as there were no access to balcony/possibility to get fresh air, we only used it once. The spa should have been included with this expensive price. Nice location though.

Just visited with family and here are the negative and positive: + Location great + Spa beautiful but really small, teracce was under construction. Allso 200m walk to the mainhotel and rooms. - Nearby beach was not swimmable due poisoneous alga. - Our room was superior kitchenette and room was poor: extrabed was very small for 1 adult and a teenager. Bathroom dirty. Overall dated. - Breakfast very basic - No roomservice. Reception closed at 22:00.

I stayed for a couple of nights in a superior room. The room had a beautiful view to the Torikatu /Rantakatu. The ceiling was high and the window tall, so the room was flooded with light. The curtains however were excellent, so it was easy to darken the room when needed. The decor was a bit dull, basic wooden floors and white walls. Room cleaning was better than in a average hotel. I could hear other guests walking in the room above mine, and the ventilation turned onregularly with a loud noise, but otherwise it was really quiet. The breakfast buffet was ordinary, perhaps the bread was a bit better than average. The hotel has a few bikes to lend.

Our stay was excellent! First and foremost; the customer service here is very understanding and helpful. We asked to change for a room with a better view and the receptionist directly showed us some of the other rooms that were free to change to. The spa building is right next to the hotel and has all the services one might look for. The hotel breakfast (included in price!) has a broad range of choises from traditional breakfast dishes. Definitely would recommend for a cozy weekend trip!

Newly renovated hotel central in Hanko. We stayed at a standard room (on the small side, good, firm but narrow bed, great bathroom, all very clean), had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant which was a nice experience both concerning food/wine and service. All in all a quality stay.

Nothing special in this hotel. The location is good so that's why the two stars. The room was 200€, the room is quite small and old, the breakfast was very basic, children screaming and nothing fancy. The spa is being renovated so can't say anything about that.

Peaceful and cosy place to stay, very good location close to everything, nice rooms and many of them with a view to the sea. The restaurant and breakfast are excellent too. The spa was closed due to renovation though that is also nice with beutiful views. You could come to Hanko only to enjoy your time at the hotel!

Overall stylish small hotel, good location and nice atmosphere. Personal and relaxed service. Good breakfast. However, the cleanliness of the rooms has a lot to improve. The rooms should be thoroughly inspected and the bedding changed. In the bathroom and in the bed you could see some silverfishes, which also indicates the neglect of cleaning. Also the air conditioning lives a life of its own and makes a loud noise. Also no slippers and bath towels if you are not staying in a suite. The spa is really nice with a huge poll and services but contraty to what you might expect for a spa there were some families with small children disturbing the peace of other customers.

Nice, clean hotel with modernised rooms. Terrace bar closed well before official closing time. Also, no room service as far as I can tell and no room fridge / bar. Enjoyed a nice lobster dinner nearby so should make it through the night. The hotel has an original part and some recent additions closer to the shore. The spa is detached from the original hotel (across the street) so I assume one must walk over to enjoy it. Generally Finnish hotels suck so this is ok.
