Service wonderful, room very well laid out for wheelchair access, bathroom fully accessible in wheelchair including the shower area, with fitted chair for easy transfer and grab rails situated in good positions. Bed very comfortable and made up as often as you require, with beautiful artwork made from soft furnishings. Balcony accessible with wheelchair without assistance needed. Entire hotel fully accessible with ease. Which made our stay perfect. There is a hoist to assist getting in and out of the pool if required. Sun beds are a little low if you are unable to transfer, but having spoken with the manager, it is the pipeline for possibly different ones when the hotel is refurbished. We will definitely be coming back as this is a wonderful hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing, extremely friendly and very helpful. Food is very tasty and beautifully presented, with plenty of choice, but if you do decide to go to any of the bookable restaurants be aware that the men must wear long trousers.

Reception was fantastic we were greeted and upgraded to a pool villa fantastic start. Pool villa was fantastic it gives you a choice to be alone, and they are well set up. The pools and bars are all superb. The theatre was good. The food was amazing, both buffet and speciality. The staff are all friendly and cannot do enough. It is our favourite Riu alongside riu palace aruba. Well done and thank you to Riu Palace Boa Vista.

We are told by many who know the island of Boa Vista well that the RUI Palace is the best on the island. We certainly had a great time. Food is excellent, accommodation very good, entertainment could be slightly better, but it was ok. The islander welcomed us as we provided them with income unlike some of the European countries. The island is windy (north wind) and partly cloudy most days which help to keep the heat down. We both came home with good suntans. Highly recommended.

Bar and serving staff great and up for a laugh. Really nice time for our two week stay, propping the bar up every night, except the two nights we went next door for the themed nights. Then we were missed, not only by the staff but the other guests, saying we were part of the furniture lol. Food brilliant too, and a great choice to be had.

We stayed here over Easter 2025, and overall we found it an excellent place to stay for the two weeks. Overall the standard was very high, and the staff were all fabulous and keen to look after you. There were certainly plenty of staff around at all times. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable and kept that way. The food was excellent, almost too much choice, always well presented wherever you were amongst the restaurant offerings. The bookable restaurants were all very good, our favourite was the Japanese one as it was a different experience and again the standard was excellent. The hotel is very generously spaced out so although the capacity is quite big, it never felt crowded even at a peak time such as Easter. There was always space around the pool.. The beach was lovely, but sparsely used because of the wind which blows pretty much all day everyday and swimming is pretty much not possible though if you like kite-surfing then this will be a paradise. There is not a lot to do on the island so trips are limited to island tours of various types but if you’re there at certain times of the year there is the opportunity to see the whales or the turtles. We were there in whale watching season and were very lucky. Overall can’t recommend it enough as a place for a high quality, relaxing holiday

Where to start ……. The nice bits first .. the gardens and grounds absolutely beautiful 🤩 staff work so hard keeping them immaculate! The beach 🏖️ absolutely gorgeous and miles and miles of walking. Food in the main buffet restaurant very good with so much choice! Now to the concerns … this is 100% not a 5 star hotel ,we have stayed in lots of 5star hotels and this definitely isn’t one of them! On our arrival was met at reception by a very frosty rude young lady who was extremely unwelcoming not the best start! Our room was ok, very tired looking and in huge need of a refurbishment, the bathroom was shocking ,toilet was grim and was in dire need of replacing , one of the sinks had a huge crack along the whole way across and as for the shower mould and rust on the shower door! Entertainment in the evening was absolutely terrible, so bad that we were bored and returned to our room early every evening thank goodness we were only there for a week! Sun beds at the pool were very worn out and uncomfortable! Alcohol was watered down at the pool bar and in the bar in the evening! Restaurants you had to book 3 days in advance and struggled to make a reservation . Loved Cape Verde 🇨🇻 just not this hotel Big tip for people flying home book a taxi before coaches pick you up you will save 2 hours waiting in the que to get through to departures

Excellent hotel, very well managed, very clean, lovely grounds, all staff fantastic, super helpful throughout. Breakfast, lunch and dinner choice for all palates and good choice for whole family of very different tastes. Ample sun beds both at the pools and on beach. Again the pools/ bars kept scrupulously clean. No complains.

A lovely week at this hotel - just 5 min transfer from the airport. Everything was clean and well looked after. Staff very friendly and helpful. The waiter got to know us and our preferred table so she had our drinks ready when we arrived for breakfast and lunch each day which was a nice touch. Food was excellent - great choice and well cooked. Loved our swim up room which also had a lovely large rainforest shower. Plenty of sun beds by the pool and on the beach. Spa reasonably priced compared to other similar hotels and I had an excellent 80 min hot stone massage for £80.
