We recently had lunch at the restaurant. The backdrop is the Douro River. A beautiful location for the hotel and the restaurant. The place is little off the beaten track in Ribera del Duero, in a small village / town of Quintanilla de Onésimo. The multi course gourmet lunch was a sublime experience!, and the local wines, the white and the red, were refreshing and tantalizingly beautiful. The service was exceptional!

I visited the restaurant and the staff was outstanding in terms of service and attention. Food lovely and with a great bottle of Pingus. Highly recommendable and the hotel is great and location is very convenient versus Ribera Del Duoro. Nice Sound in the rooms from the Watergate

Very boutique hotel in a beautiful setting, right in middle of Ribera del Duero wine country. Perfect location if you want to visit Ribera region and base yourself somewhere. Rooms are modern new and clean.

Upon our arrival at the hotel we were greeted by Christmas, the hotel mascot duck! Actually we were warmly greeted and checked in and given our key to our room. Very surprised by how it was well appointed and wound up being very comfortable for the 4 days we spent there. The AC was fantastic! The bed was very comfortable, could have used some softer pillows, but they worked. We opted out for the breakfast for €15, because we only wanted coffee. We would have loved a Nespresso machine in the room! Never ate in the hotel, all the folks we met in town said it was wonderful, next time. We will be back to Quintanilla and will stay here at the Aceña.

Beautiful surroundings. Lovely building. Basic but acceptable rooms. Breakfast service was a nightmare. Were not able to accommodate 10 guests. Waited 20+ minutes before being acknowledged. Did not get to eat and had to fight for refund.

I stumbled upon this little boutique hotel while searching for one to spend the night on our road trip through Segovia. Little did I know that it was actually located in a wine valley. Access to this hotel is not really easy as it passes through some small and windy roads but along the way , the journey there was very scenic. It was located in a small village with slightly over a thousand inhabitants and I must say that it is an eye opener when I arrived. Located next to a running river , this charming hotel feels extremely warm once you entered. As it was converted from an abandoned mill , some parts of the hotel still hold the original feel. The rooms are spacious and clean and opens up to a veranda that oversee the river for those on the ground level. We have dinner at the hotel restaurant which is another highlight of our stay. The ambience is great with tiptop service. The chef is a local staying in the village who whipped out great dishes. The restaurant also source their wine from a winery located just a stone throw away from the hotel. Overall , we have an awesome stay at this hotel at a very reasonable rate.

Modern hotel with nice common areas both inside and outside. Rooms are all identical, basic (but nice) in décor and do get noisy - those at the very end of the hall (furthest from reception) are slightly less noisy. Breakfast was quite good. While buffet-like, you can order whatever you want off the menu. With very limited staff it could take awhile to both order and get your food when it gets busy. We always arrived for breakfast right when they opened and never had an issue. Dinner was excellent. Our only disappointment was we were there in the low season and with limited diners that night they did not open the beautiful vaulted dining room upstairs. This meant we ate both breakfast and dinner in the same spot. Staff was very helpful especially in making calls to restaurants and wineries as we do not speak fluent Spanish. Location is good for exploring, but you do need a car to get anywhere. There are no restaurants or wineries within walking distance (or at least that were open when we were there), although there are many within a very short drive.

Qué decir de este sítio de mala muerte?? Un insulto a la gastronomia y un insulto a España, que es, reconocidamente, de los países donde mejor se come en el mundo. Pues en este lugar, todo lo que llegó a la mesa fué incomestible!!! Es que ni el pan era bueno, aunque al final fué lo único que se pudo comer, del ham de que teniamos todos… tendrian que replantearse todo el negocio y empezae por echarle al cocinero
