We have just returned from a 9 night stay at The Residence. It didn’t disappoint. Stunningly beautiful. The hotel and the staff couldn’t do enough they were so attentive. Special thanks to Kaseem, Sarah, Jackie & Rihjhim, amongst many others. The rooms and grounds are maintained to a very high standard. We made use of the water sports and tennis. My husband & 17 year old went scuba diving, whilst me & my eldest daughter had a massage at the spa where which was very relaxing. We also made use of the sauna and steam room several times. We were half board, there was a wide choice of food on offer and to a high standard. My eldest daughter is vegetarian and when we ate at the Plantation they prepared her a veg curry, which was excellent. The evening entertainment was live music & dancing (dancing couple of nights) was good. I would certainly recommend this hotel and certainly return to this paradise.

A warm welcome with a refreshing welcome drink and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. A stunning, paradise-like beach with sun loungers by the sea or by the pool. A wide range of water activities is available. Drinking water is provided on the beach, and delicious ice cream is served daily. The only thing I missed was a changing room or cabin for wet swimsuits by the beach. Thank you for the kindness — I had a truly wonderful time

A Truly Memorable Stay – Heartfelt Thanks to the Wonderful Staff I stayed at this hotel during my birthday, and I must say – I was truly impressed and very satisfied with my experience. It was my first time traveling completely alone, and on the first day, I felt a little bit lonely. But very soon, that changed thanks to the incredible kindness and warmth of the staff, especially in the restaurant and throughout the hotel. Special thanks to Mr.Rooben / Restaurant Manager , Miss Niharika, Shashi, and Lovena in the shop – Stephen- Sanjay-Shashi-Akhilesh- they were all so thoughtful and made me feel welcome every day. Miss Caruna at the reception was one of the kindest people I’ve met – always smiling, helpful, and attentive. I would also like to mention Sanjay, Stefani, and Akhilesh at the beach – all of them contributed to making my stay truly special. Because of these wonderful people, I have beautiful memories of this place, and I will always be grateful. Thank you for making my birthday and my first solo trip such a warm and unforgettable experience!

Of course anyone who has been to Mauritius will tell you that the beaches and activities are incredible, whether it is parasailing or going on an inflatable ride, most beachfront hotels will accommodate this. The residence not only does this but the ambiance is much more quiet and relaxing, more subtle and doesn’t hit you over the head. There are less people there then at places like Troux aux biches and which contributes to this. All the staff there are incredible and nice. The waiters are great. Kavish who works at the buffet is very nice and cheerful as well as Kazeem who was more subtle in his approach but still nice. The people at the Plantation( it’s a restaurant) were also very nice. They seemed like they enjoyed their job which made them a lot friendlier. I would give my experience at The Residence a 9/10.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was truly impressed. The warm welcome at the entrance set the tone for a fantastic stay. Mina, the front office agent, was incredibly kind and helpful. She handled my check-in seamlessly while I enjoyed a welcome drink—such a classy touch. The process was quick and efficient, and I immediately felt at ease. My room was beautiful, and the cleanliness was absolutely impeccable—10/10. Later, I headed to the restaurant for dinner, which featured a buffet with an impressive variety of dishes, including fresh oysters! The food was excellent, and every staff member I encountered was kind, respectful, and attentive. On the day of check-out, I approached the reception to inquire about a possible late check-out since my taxi was scheduled for 4 PM. Lovena at the front desk was wonderful and kindly accommodated my request, allowing me to enjoy a few more hours at the hotel—something I really appreciated. Beautiful hotel. A large selection of buffet food. Food by the pool at lunch was limited menu, maybe 3/4 options included in the all inclusive which did get repetitive each day. We really struggled with the heat and having only air con in the bedroom and toilets. Eating was impossible, it was so muggy and hot and no air con in any of the food areas. I had some lovely spa treatments with Asha, she was so kind and welcoming and told me about an extra treatment which really helped fix my sunburn immediately. Kind and professional and would return to use her again, Overal the hotel is lovely, really good quality, large rooms and modern. Very well kept, kind staff. Shame about the air con as the heat is unbearable Really good singer and pianist in the evenings , we loved our stay!
