I was planning to go to Dalian and Tianjin, but there were no suitable train tickets, so I came here with the intention of making a stopover at Shanhaiguan, the starting point of the Great Wall of China. I really liked the old-fashioned atmosphere of the house of a famous powerful family in the past, with its large glass doors and Chinese tile roofs. The hotel is newly built (opened in April of this year), so it is very clean and has great facilities, and the price is cheap. The first gate of the Great Wall is right in front, so I am very satisfied. Above all, the hotel staff seemed a little flustered because I was the first guest visiting Korea (probably the first foreign guest), but each and every staff member welcomed me so warmly that I will never forget it.
