This is not your top five-star hotel, if that's what you're after. I've seen much better ones.
BUT, I somehow had the best swimming beach vacation since 1975 at this hotel.
Problems:
1) worn-out towels:
2) no clothing cupboard;
3) no bathrobes;
4) smallish room size;
5) noone speaks English at the check-in desk
6) no in-room safe.
Havingg said that, I REALLY enjoyed a simple swimming beach vacation at this holiday. They clean up my room when I asked them to; They don't bother you when you're there; they're friendly when you check in or out. And there's a common refrigerator at the check-in desk if you really need to have your food to be preserded for a couple of days.
One problem: DIDi cars have a hard time accessing you: the road outside the Hoel is pretty much heavily-used, so get ready to facing difficulties when getting to your DIDI ride...
Overall, a very positive outlook. Will definitely come again

Came to visit during low season, hotel price is reasonable. The hotel is nice, great view, all staffs are very friendly and helpful, especially my room manager ike 小張, who provided excellent services and made my stay very pleasant.
Breakfast has a wide range of selection.
Hotel is right next to one of the beaches, and is about 10-20mins drive from most famous sightseeing areas and qingdao railway station.
Hotel also offered a complementary ticket for the sky observation at the next door building, it is quite interesting and worth a go.

The location is very good. There is a subway station right outside. Line 3 is convenient to May Fourth Square, the Zhanqiao, the Olympic Sailing, and the Naval Museum. The beach is not far to the south, and there are tall buildings lit up along the east along the coast. The breakfast is rich. If you don't eat breakfast at the hotel, Zanjia Eight Treasure Porridge downstairs is also convenient and delicious. There are also two convenience stores downstairs, which are convenient for shopping. The service and hygiene are good. I stayed for 5 days and it was very comfortable.

This was my first stay at the hotel, and I have to say that overall the hotel was great! The location is very convenient to many tourist attractions. There is a subway right next to the hotel. It’s just 11 minutes by the subway to get to the Qingdao railway station. The hotel is clean, all the towels are disinfected. The breakfast had a big assortment of dishes both from western and Chinese cuisine. And every evening the hotel treated with snacks such as cookies, fruits or yogurt. There is also free coffee in the lobby. Highly recommended!

All good except the staff is unwilling to assist in booking taxi, as the app requires Wechat pay, but we don't have. We ask the staff to help in booking, the staff insisted that they cannot have monetary involvement with guest. While I recognize the importance of following the rules, however it must see what kind of thing to follow. I don't think assist guest in taxi booking is a big big problem.

I checked into Qingdao Yuelan Hotel with my family and children, and the experience was far beyond my expectations! The hotel is in an excellent location - a 5-minute walk to the beach, which is super convenient for children to play in the sand and waves; next to it is MixC, which is super convenient for eating, drinking and shopping. There is a subway station downstairs, which is also very convenient to go to various attractions. The room is spacious and bright, the staff is enthusiastic, and they actively help with luggage and recommend nearby parent-child restaurants. The details are perfect! I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Qingdao! Highly recommended to families with children, super cost-effective! 👨👩👧👦💙

It's breakfast is great. For me is better than 4 star hotel that we have stayed in terms of taste & certain item u can't find in them.

The hotel staff are very helpful and accommodating. The facilities are just great, it's within close walking distance of May 4th square, the coast and the Mixc mall is practically in the same building complex.
It's an ideal location for business trips, or vacation. The rooms offer enough facilities that if you are staying long enough you can cook for yourself, you can also get assistance from the staff to order take-aways, and there are a large number of different kinds of restaurants nearby. Also there's a 7-11 convenience store within 2 minutes walking distance from the entrance to the hotel. And getting a taxi is very easy and convenient through the Didi app. If you're familiar with how things work in China, it'll be really easy for you to feel at home, if not, the staff will do their best to assist you with anything you need.

I came to Huangdao with my partner and stayed at this hotel. I was surprised that the service here was very good. It was cold on the day of check-in, so the air conditioner was turned on in advance. Thanks to the front desk ladies Wendy and Lucy for their enthusiastic introduction to the use of room facilities and equipment. Check-in and check-out were also handled efficiently and professionally. The buffet also suited my taste, which was great! I will stay at this hotel again when I come to Huangdao next time!

First and foremost, the receptionist displayed exceptional customer service. Our early morning arrival was met with a warm welcome and an unexpected early check-in. This considerate gesture allowed us to freshen up and kick-start our adventure, setting a positive tone for our stay.
During our visit, there was a minor hiccup with housekeeping - a misplaced pair of Nike Air Max shoes. Thankfully, the vigilant receptionist swiftly resolved the issue, locating and returning the missing item promptly. To make amends for the inconvenience, they went the extra mile, offering a small gift and complimentary breakfast coupons as a gesture of goodwill. Such attentiveness to guest needs is truly commendable.
While we chose to explore authentic local cuisine during our trip, bypassing hotel dining, I cannot provide feedback on the food quality or variety.
In terms of location, this hotel scores points for convenience. Taxis are readily available, and it took us just 30 minutes to reach the stunning Laoshan Mountain, a must-visit destination. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to a bustling night market right across the street adds to its appeal.
However, there's room for improvement, notably in the cleanliness department. The bathrooms, in particular, left much to be desired, with an unpleasant odour lingering during our stay. Broken equipment, such as the wardrobe, was also in need of repair. Furthermore, the electric kettle was not up to our cleanliness standards, discouraging its use.
In summary, this hotel offers excellent customer service, convenient access to transportation and local attractions, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction. However, attention to cleanliness and maintenance, especially in the bathrooms, is an area that could use some enhancement.

The location is also good. Mainly, this hotel is not close to the subway and bus, and it is not close to the scenic spots. Convenient, not too close to the attractions. It's a long walk to take more than a dozen buses, and it's not easy to pick up a taxi. The sound insulation is not very good. You can hear it very clearly when opening and closing the doors of rooms on the same floor. The windows are next to the road downstairs and the overall sound insulation is not very good.

RRE_cyclingWe had an apartment on the 3rd floor. There was some dirt left in the bathroom, the drain was partly clogged by hairs which you dont immediately see, because it is under a cover. Inside the apartment there are stairs leading to a second level but upstairs there is nothing except for an additional bed and no windows.
Its a little unhandy that you need to go to the 9th floor of the neighbouring building to check in.
The view from the main apartment is pretty nice, one can see the sea from the bed! Location is also nice, close to the seafront.

GGuest UserI was surprised to find a treasure niche boutique hotel. The hotel is conveniently located, the door is very low-key, the stay found that the environment inside is very good, the layout details are tasteful, I like it very much, the room is comfortable and satisfactory.
The front desk of the hotel said that there was a free coffee gift on the first night, and a glass of ice latte was really delicious! ! I asked the front desk to know that this was prepared by the hotel owner. The boss himself is also a coffee hobby. He uses the good beans that the boss drinks by himself. Like me like coffee to live must taste, better than star dad.
I am used to staying in a chain hotel. It is rare to encounter a hotel that makes me feel warm and cost-effective. It is worth my serious evaluation and worth recommending.
