Ulasan Oulu Hotel (Qingdao Zhanqiao Catholic Church)

It’s Location is everything about this hotel otherwise price is not acceptable for critical travelers who concern facilities and services. Especially bathroom and noise complaints would be its critical problems. Not recommended for business and family members.

DO NOT book this hotel!!!! It is absolutely disgustingly dirty and looks nothing like the photos you look at when booking. Black mould everywhere, hotel room doors don’t lock, no proper showers, bathrooms don’t get cleaned at all, it’s honestly cleaner and safer to sleep on the sidewalk. It’s a health and safety hazard and I am shocked that trip.com is still advertising and taking bookings for this place.

This hotel is terrible. The rooms have mound growing everywhere. There is hair and stain everywhere. The corridors are dirty and worn out. So many health and safety violations. It honestly should not be renting out to people. The management is horrible too. The pictures on trip will deceive you.

This was a horrible place to stay, it was unsanitary and unsafe, and totally disgusting - Unacceptable.  The management team or you could say stuff we extremely rude, just the conditions in general from the reception to the elevator leading to the room was unsanitary.  this is truly a health and safety situation. 

Location is close to city center and scenic areas

The closeness to tourists attractions is the most advantageous

its location is very good where very closes to the central culture and commercial sightseeing spots. But there are room for the hotel to make more cleaner facilities which will gain more praises in the future

very moldy and there was a crusty old used condom on the floor by the bed.

honestly this was my worst experience in China so far. The first room had mould all over the ceiling and wall. The smell was so unhealthy from the mould that I went to the reception for changing. They gave us a new room which has not that heavy mould but still too much to have a healthy stay. We accepted but later as we moved in we just recognized why the roomdoor was opened as we arrived. The smell was super disgusting. It was like sleeping inside your sportsocks after not washing them for a long time. We slept with our Covid masks on, but couldn't sleep as there was a water pipe in the bathroom coming out of the wall which was dripping all night long. Even put our towels on the ground could not block the sound because of the amount of water coming out. I can totally not understand how they can offer rooms and call it business hotel with a rating of 4 out of 5! The price is cheaper compared to other Hotels thats true, but its not worth to call it a hotel, its just unhealthy and disgusting.

My son and I travelled through some cities in China. We stayed mainly in budget hotels. This hotel was in a reasonable location. The hall carpet was dirty and once you are past reception you notice the hotel has seen better days. The room smelt of smoke, which i personally hate. The sheets were clean and the room was warm.

The hotel is very central behind the Catholic Church it’s def a place to crush for two nights for a good price. It’s clean and the staff is friendly.

Perfect location to explore the surrounding area. The hallways and common spaces leave much to be desired, but the hotel rooms were well kept and organized.

The location is so so good, but the room was quite tired and not overly clean. The aircon could do with a clean and maintenance, but for a place to rest for the night is suffices at the price
