Chanakya Bnr Hotel

We recently stayed at the railway heritage hotel, Chanakya BNR at Puri, a property that has stood proudly for almost a hundred years. The hotel's rooms and hallways have been exquisitely renovated, with floors that have been changed from their original brick red to a chic black and white checkered pattern. This pattern has added a touch of symmetry and gives the impression that the corridors go on forever. The experience of strolling through these renovated spaces, admiring the blend of historical splendour and modern comfort, was truly delightful. The hotel's charming balconies offered serene views of the meticulously manicured lawns, providing a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. Nestled in the privacy of the gardens, the beautiful pool was an oasis of relaxation. Breakfasts were a highlight, served in age-old dining 'car' that retained it's historic charm while offering contemporary service standards. The menu featured delicious continental food, which could be enjoyed in the comfort of our room upon request. The friendly and supportive staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, adding a personal touch to the entire experience. Despite having to work during our stay, the environment was a refreshing change, conducive to both productivity and relaxation. The only downside was the ongoing renovations, which brought some construction noise and dust. However, this minor inconvenience was overshadowed by the overall excellence of our stay. In summary, it was a super stay, blending heritage charm with modern comforts in a picturesque locale just a couple of hundred metres from the beautiful Puri beach.

Very good . Vikas and Amir was an amazing host. Food was good as well . Service could have been faster but overall experience was good furthermore the place has a nice ambience, soothing music and vibe too . Hotel Property is good . Ok thank you bye

Food was fantastic...each and every staff of restaurant were very friendly and receptive to needs...we had complete set of veg and non veg dishes...all were too good... would also like yo mention about Jaganath Dixit who did took care of our taste buds.....

The food and hospitality was outstanding. We were served really well by the shift incharge Jagannath and his team. Would recommend and visit again. We were told about the history of the place and all other small facts.. it was a delightful experience.

Amazing stay, nice hotel, big room, had great accessibility for local transport . Mr. Amir from resturant was very courteous and made all the necessary arrangements. Highly recommended for everyone travelling to puri with friends and family.

We recently stayed at BNR Chanakya Puri for two nights and found it to be a comfortable experience overall. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and the staff is very supportive, though service can be a bit sluggish at times. The hotel is neat and clean, offering a peaceful ambiance. One thing we truly appreciated was the genuine and honest Purohit provided by the hotel, which made our spiritual experience even more meaningful. The food at the hotel was delicious and reasonably priced, but mosquitoes can be a bit bothersome. I’d recommend carrying some mosquito repellent cream or using the hotel's provisions to avoid any discomfort. Despite these minor issues, BNR Chanakya Puri offers a charming stay, especially for those visiting nearby temples.
