Onda Surf Hotel

I will say up front only because I value my google reviews and want to be transparent about the situation. I work for a wonderful restaurant in Tulsa Ok, who the owner also owns this hotel and I was allowed to stay here at a reduced rate. But that being said I'm going to be honest (truthfully if it was bad I would have just not left a review and privately give my advice to the owner) All that being said; THIS IS THE EXACT KIND OF PLACE THAT I WOULD PURPOSELY STAY AT. So many good points to this place. Great value and location; even though this is not beachfront area it is less than a five minute walk to the beach. It is also within less than a 10 minute walk to many great nearby restaurants and corner stores. But you don't have to go that far because right next door is a fantastic cafe, it is affiliated with the hotel but sits as its own establishment. (I'll be giving it its own stellar review.) You can access it from out the front of the hotel or inside around the bottom west side of the rooms. I checked in at the cafe and Fran (Fransico) was very helpful, he can also assist you in any other various activities and information that you may need. He showed me to my room and gave me my set of keys; one key for the room and the other for the front door (gate) that allows access into the property. This place is very nice and has the hip, relaxing beach vibe. A neat pool to use at your convenience. Lots of plants around and the upstairs balcony area to hang out and chill. The rooms are quite nice with simple decor befitting the feel. Also the little extra touches of the furniture and hanging racks are quite nice. The room comes with towels for the shower and one for the beach. There is a heating/cooling unit in each room so you can personalize to your comfort. The restrooms are an open feel, reminiscent of typical Mexican style. Only small suggestion would be small wall/table reading lamp to have so that you don't have to have the all the lights on. There is a little commons area where you can store some things in a fridge, a water cooler to fill your water bottles, a sink to wash any minor dishes in. Only thing that would be nice, would be a microwave in this area. I highly recommend this place and definitely will return.
