Hotel Amfiteatar

Overpriced, very basic hotel Room on 3rd floor had one tiny window. Beds with foam mattress and aircon that didn’t adjust made the room stuffy and hot. It also had a musty smell. Cheap furniture with fold away chairs. Shower head in bathroom sprayed everywhere soaking entire bathroom though after reporting this the next day it was a bit better. Breakfast OK but the worst we had during our tour up the coast. Pula isn’t worth spending more than a couple of hours so recommended if you want to visit stay somewhere else along the coast. There isn’t much choice of hotels here and the owners are capitalising on that charging over the odds for very basic accommodation.

We stayed here in 2018 and returned this year on the basis of our previous stay. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised with the recent renovations done. They have improved the comfort level quite nicely. Only a short walk from the old city and literally next door to the old Roman amphitheater. Definitely stay here on your visit to Pula.

Good location very close to center town, Roman Arena, the harbour. Staff very young and friendly . Totally overpriced for what they offer. Breakfast poor. Pula/Pola has few good hotels and is going through a deep crisis. Few choices for what you pay.

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Amfiteatar and we really enjoyed our stay. We booked the hotel directly through the hotels website as we found we had a better price. A lovely family run hotel that is close to everything you need, you could see the Pula Amphitheater from the hotel entrance. When checking in we were told we were upgraded to a premium room what was amazing and we appreciated a lot. The room was very spacious and had everything we need (except tea/coffee facilities) as part of the premium room there was a massage chair what was different. The room was nice and clean, cleaned daily. Nice sized shower and also fitted with a smart TV that come in handy before bed. Included in our stay was breakfast what was excellent. There was a good selection of hot and cold food to choose from. I want to give a big mention to the staff at Hotel Amfiteatar, every member of staff who we met and dealt with were amazing. Very nice people who go above and beyond to help you, for example giving us a free upgrade and also allowing us to stay in the room an extra hour after check out at no cost. Thank you for all your help, it was very appreciated. Only downside is the fact there is no tea/coffee facility in the room but it’s hardly a problem.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was outstanding; the staff went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Being so close to the city center was a huge plus, allowing me to easily visit all the main attractions. The views from my room were stunning, especially at sunrise. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a great selection of tasty and fresh food. The room itself was cozy, well-maintained, and had all the amenities I could ask for. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Of all the hotels on our trip this was the most basic. Location great and staff nice. Rooms very basic and glad we were only there one night. Bed and bathroom and not much else. I had attic room so no views although skylights let light in. No facilities in hotel as such and breakfast very basic. It was clean and tidy.

Most of the staff here were extremely helpful. The hotel offered a good breakfast which was continually replenished. Hot water only available from a thermos. Reception area and breakfast room interesting and modern. Extra tea/coffee available but at a charge(out of breakfast hours).No tea making facilities the room! My room was a disappointment. It was dark, dingy and antiquated. Small lumpy bed. Room needed decorating and furniture needed an upgrade. My carpet although clean was a stained brown affair. The bathroom was fine. The hotel had a perfect location so i would recommend it for that and for the service. Prices a little high for the room quality.

Fresh looking hotel with griendly, welcoming staff. Nice clean quiet room. Good breakfast included. Next to the Ampitheatre and close to beach docks and town centre. Helpful when leaving and arranged taxi at a good price. Would go back again if staying in Pula.

The hotel is in an ideal location, steps from the Amphitheater and less than 10 minutes walk to the town centre. The room was large, comfortable, clean with a great bathroom. Breakfast buffet had a great choice of fresh hot and cold food. Reception staff were always courteous, attentive and spoke good English.
