Villa Bau Nyale

Where do I start…. Do not go here. Aircon was noisy and didn’t work, fixed and flooded our room. Lied to by staff. Towels badly stained. Sunbeds filth. Noisy excavation works from 8am till 5pm and staff did nothing about it. Apparently the works to build a new pool were brought forward so customers should have been notified as it was unbearable. We would have stayed somewhere else. Had to speak to the manager twice as he was in Jakata and still waiting a response. He advised he would send my text and videos to the owner and still no response. Noise was so bad we had to find alternative accommodation for two nights to get some peace. (We had still paid for KU). Shame I can’t upload the video of the noise from the excavation works.

I didn't enjoy my stay here at all. Staff presence was nearly non existent and certainly no staff introduced themselves or bothered to find out our names. The so called gardens are straggly dried up marigolds in **** choked garden beds that were sadly lacking attention and water. There was not enough hot water in the bathroom for 1 person to shower comfortably let alone 2 people. When I told the breakfast waiter there was nothing on the menu I could eat because of food intolerances he laughed at me. Guests love being laughed at by staff. I couldn't even get a slice of toast that wasn't some fancy designer bread that I couldn't eat. I took my own cereal after the disastrous first breakfast. The only positive for me was the pillows were excellent.

We stayed a night in the 2 bedroom suite and loved it. Herman and Ivan were so very hospitable and assisted in organising a packed breakfast as we had an early morning flight. The pool was small but we were the only ones there so it was a like having a private pool to ourselves which was brilliant. Ku Villas have their own mini herb / veggie / fruit garden (a jackfruit tree was just fruiting too) :-) We were offered a free ride to Siwa, their sister hotel, for evening drinks. We asked if they had dinner too, which they did, so we decided to check it out. Siwa was spectacular - scenic rooftop view and dinner was by their massive pool. Starters and mains were great, dessert (coconut panna cotta with mango) even better! A suggestion: to offer non-dairy milk. All in all, it was an exceptional stay. We even tried out the spa. Good massage. Great pedicure - with such attention to detail. We would stay here again.

We stayed Ku Villa at the start of our tour for Lombok. The location of this villa was absolutely perfect, minutes from the main road and fantastic choice of restaurants, yet a quiet tranquil place to stay. We had a 2 bed villa with pool which was amazing and housekeeping did a fantastic job using WhatsApp in guests requesting the time when they wanted your rooms cleaned….great customer service. The breakfast was sensational and was so fresh and imaginative and proved to be the best breakfast during our month visiting various locations in Lombok. The front desk team were great, they were funny, charming and helpful, making good recommendations to beaches and arrange first class transport. Without a doubt we would highly recommend this villa. To get to Ku Villa from the airport and all of our transport in Lombok We cannot express our thanks to Omar, for his support in making our holiday to Lombok so special. This is not the first time we have used him and we can definitely say he is simply the best. It was not easy finding someone back in the UK to help us plan our wonderful holiday and would recommend him as he is first class. We stayed in 4 different locations in Lombok to which we used him to transport us on each stop of our journey Airport to Kuta, Kuta to Senggigi, Senggigi to Gili Islands (this included private boat transfer and horse and car on Gili) Gili to Sempiak and Sempiak to airport and his prices are amazing.On each trip he was always on time, his vehicle is spotless and clean, he is a very good driver who was knowledgable and help us get the best out of Lombok. If you are unsure about getting transfers and trips whilst holidaying in Lombok, then put your worries behind you and book Omar up. We stayed for 2 days to get away from the madness of Bali and I am so glad we did, the rooms are well equipped, clean and spacious, the bed was extremely comfy and we slept well. We ate in the on site restaurant the first night and whilst the menu is limited the food was good. Kuta beach was not a great experience for us but, make you own mind up. There are no Grab access this end of the island so the Villas organised a car and driver to take us to Tanjung Aan Beach (mind blowingly beautiful) we stayed all day and ate in one of the beach restaurants. Our driver stayed with us all day at cost of around £12. The ferry over from Bali took 5 hours and was extremely challenging for us as a couple in our 60's however, our Daughter and her pals loved it. We flew back to Denpassar, Bali, at a cost of £70 each. We ate in Kuta on our second evening and the meals were good. Big shout out to Ivan, Herman and Arif at KU Villas who's excellent customer service made the whole trip so much more pleasurable, they are a credit to the Villas. Only gripe was the pool which was fine the first day but was so dirty is was unusable the second/third day (Villas knew and we're to speak to their pool maintenance team). Overall stay 2 night, evening meal (for 2), breakfast (for 3) and several rounds of drinks cost us around £240. Would we stay here again, hell yes, we can't wait to come back .
