Doing Puerto Vallarta solo, choosing a Bed and Breakfast stay, was a good choice. I made new friends from around the world, and plan to do it again. The breakfast was delicious, locally sourced (the cook boasted) and made to order. Watch out for the hot peppers though, she sneaks them in if you don't mention it. My private room with a/c was upstairs, towards the rear of the building, so I had no problems noise. My bed was comfortable. The sheets and towels were fairly new. No rips, tears or stains. Hot water to take a shower with, was appreciated. Privacy and a good night's sleep for a few Pesos more B&B style, versus a shared dormitory in a Hostel (done both) money well spent.
