The Hacienda at Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta- All Inclusive

We had no idea that we needed to upgrade our room to use the adult pool on the Haceinda side. We ended up doing a time share presentation just so we could use the dollars to upgrade our wristbands to use adult pool. It was very high pressure and extremely uncomfortable. I will never again subject myself to that misery again. Food was excellent and our partial ocean view was clean and quiet.Loreana at the roof top pool is excellent and very attentive. We look forward to seeing her again.

Property itself is not bad, seems to cared for. Rooms are spacious, but my biggest issue with the bathroom - glass door that does not close nor does it give you privacy to do your business. Staff is friendly enough but noone really went out of their way to help or solve issues. Bar and beach Manager was super nice to us - gave a free cabana day after we have been paying about $55 CAD per day - because unless you are up at 5 am you will not get a spot on the beach, and if you walk away from your spot they will move your stuff off... Buffet was ok, variety is there, but it became boring as we were there for 2 weeks. Alcohol is awful, cheapest of the cheapest, could not drink on the resort. Entertainment - was mediocre, they tried, so kudos (Michael Jackson, Fire Show - typical of all resorts) Karaoke every night was hilarious and fun - people are brave and really tried, so kudos. Some folks are really good at it. Beach - to get a chair or a spot on the beach was literally a war zone, not enough sun beds at all. Swimming in the ocean was decent and actually the fun part, waves are huge, so you better be a good swimmer. Biggest plus was sunsets are absolutely stunning, so make sure to catch these. Crowd is mostly retirement folks and some families. P.S. Restaurants outside the property absolutely delish, on top of our vacation package we spent tons in restaurants, because they have way better food - Argentinian Stake house; Barcelona Tapas (in the City) ; Porfirio's Vallarta and Dolce Vita for pizza

The resort is very nice!! Clean and the service is great!! Especially on the beach service (food, umbrella and drinks) Rafael and Daniel! Love Emma in the hacienda breakfast! No fear of your “sun shy” the guys will look after you getting umbrellas.

We were greeted with a room upgrade as soon as we arrived! Beautiful large room overlooking the ocean. There was some construction right below us, but the beach and ocean made me forget all about it! Every night we got to see the amazing sunset! Staff were absolutely amazing! Always friendly and would do anything for us! They really made the trip unforgettable! The buffet was excellent. Different food options each day/night. The ability to go to the pool and buffet at the Hacienda was also excellent!!! Room was always clean and air conditioned. Drinks were delicious and the pools were wonderful.

Booked at Hacienda rooms and had the best time! Adults only section, perfect for couples. Pablo and Jose at el Pozo made us never want to leave. Food from the snack area by the pool was fresh and delicious, ceviche and fish tacos were delicious. We will definitely come back.

This was me and my girlfriends first trip together! We got a pretty good deal so my expectations were set pretty low. Somehow this place managed to still be disappointing... Property was nice. The restaurant service was barely service and there were two occasions where we showed up to dinner at our reservation time and waited half an hour seated at the table before we got any service. The room was clean which was good but the AC barely worked, oddly we only had housekeeping come once or twice the whole trip. Our balcony lock didn't work the entire time until it locked us out on our last night and we had to scream for help off our balcony. The management barely spoke English and essentially dismissed the whole situation. My final complaint about this hotel is the food, me and my girlfriend both got food poisoning on this trip despite the fact that we were very careful about what we were eating. I am not the type of person too write reviews nor bash establishments but when you are spending thousands of dollars these aren't things you should have to put up with.
