Ulasan Marina Suites Gran Canaria

Das Hotel befindet sich direkt am Yacht Hafen in einer top Lage. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt im Apartment. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, ausgestattet mit einem Wohnzimmer, Küche und einen riesigen Terasse. Kann das Hotel nur jedem weiter empfehlen.

Una experiencia inolvidable. Desde el check in nos trataron fenomenal en la recepción.la habitación muy limpia, grande y con todo tipo de detalles. Estuvimos muy agusto. La piscina y la animación también estuvieron de 10. Volveremos sin ningún tipo de duda

Just returned from two weeks at Marina Suites. This was our second visit, after staying last year. Again we had a fantastic time, rooms, staff, pool and food all superb. However a couple of ******* this year that I don't think we noticed the first time around. People smoking is a problem at this hotel, it promotes itself as a healthy well being place but allows smoking on balconies. We had chain smokers either side which meant when opening the balcony door our room filled up with the smell. Also, the decking area has now just become a smoking area, this I dont think is what its supposed to be for, you cant really use it because of it and cigarette butts littered all over the rocks because of no ashtray, smell of smoke blows onto the pool. Quite funny seeing a yoga class next to people smoking like chimneys. Something needs to be done about this, perhaps move them somewhere where non smoking guests are not impacted. The second issue is the sunbeds, there isn't enough of them. I witnessed a guy sitting at the doors at 7am, they don't open until 8pm, to get his spot. Not really the hotels fault, its a people issue but perhaps more could be done to prevent it. By 9am most beds are taken. Lifeguard doesnt arrive until 9.30 so whilst people put towels on beds at 8 they know they have until 10.15 to return before the 45 min rule is applied. The main Lifeguard is wonderful at applying the rules and will try to sort people out, however on his days off the pool becomes a zoo.. the replacement life guard sits on his phone all day and allows everything, people with huge inflatables, people jumping off the walls around little kids in armbands and people taking their beers into the pool as some examples. I got the impression the main lifeguard was pretty annoyed on his first day back, having to get the pool back under control. These are just a couple of negatives with many positives but does mean we will probably look to go somewhere else next year, which is a shame. A suggestion, is the adults only part needed if you have a sister adults only hotel people who want an adults only stay can use? It was barely more than half full and seems to take up space that I think could be used for more sunbeds to solve the issue of lack of space and people having to queue up before 8 to get a bed.

Just returned from 16 nights at Marina Suites. We booked the panoramic deluxe suite (908) and were really excited. I will start with the positives : The welcome was friendly, the hotel absolutely spotless and the apartment large and bed comfortable. The pool bar food at lunchtime was also very nice and a good price. I also had a massage which was lovely. Porto Rico although commercial was very clean and felt safe. Easy walk from the hotel to bars. Sadly unfortunately there are too many negatives : Boat Yard: the view of the Marina is lovely and the view out to sea equally lovely. Unfortunately it is spoiled by the working boat yard that dominates the view and is extremely noisy. Many days we could not relax on the balcony due to the noise. Pool: People reserving beds before they have breakfast .. we looked a couple of times for beds but stopped trying after a couple of days . We spent a number of days at Chesters Beach Club on the front instead. 18+ : Very clean but the hotel needs to police the age of people using this, a number of times there were under 18's in there. Pool Bar : Needs to open in the evening. We would have spent much more money with the hotel if we could have had an evening drink in this area rather than out the front on the small decking by the road. Bottle Bins : A sleep in was made impossible by the early morning bottle bins being emptied. I accept the hotel can't control when the council empties the bins but why oh why do you have to empty your bottle bins at 8.30am ! It would be better to do it 12noon every day. Also deliveries (4am load reversing beepers) . We were on the 9th floor, I can't imagine how load it was lower down. Lights : No control over balcony lights .. it would have been nice to be able to turn it off. Also from an environmental perspective why if the pool area is locked off do ALL the lights need to be left on? maybe some but surly not all! I know it looks pretty but its not really needed. If a few lights went off we could maybe see the stars. Sorry its not all negative we had a lovely holiday but it was just sadly not all we expected. I am sure this hotel is perfect for some but we will not be returning.

This is a beautiful hotel the staff are friendly very bright and airy 3 lifts 9 floors we where on the 5 great views over the small harbour not noisy, room was quite large bedroom bathroom large lounge large balcony very clean and tidy you can have the cleaners in every day if you wanted but we aren’t that type of people. There for 11 nights not a bad word for this hotel and as for the pool that was great overlooking the sea, people will say we couldn’t get sun beds but we managed to get them every time we went to the pool. Good area not to far from busy areas and amenities would defo come back

We really loved our stay here at Marina Suites. Beautiful hotel, rooms very spacious with lovely bathrooms and fabulous air conditioning. So clean and tidy, maid service was excellent. All the staff are so friendly. The views of the marina are to die for and the infinity pool looking out onto the boats in the ocean was really nice! We didn’t give 5 stars as we felt the pool bar/restaurant area lets this hotel down. We didn’t think the menu was great and the one meal we had (chicken and beef burger) we didn’t enjoy. There is no atmosphere at the pool bar as pretty as it is. It’s also very expensive at nearly 5euro for a 450mm Coke Zero. The small bottle of water was 2.5euro. I know it’s a hotel but all the same. There is also no shop on site at the hotel, it’s a 5 min walk away up a hill. Which is fine in a morning but no so fun in the 1pm heat. I feel they could stock non perishable items such as water, pop, crisps etc especially for those with children. One Thursday at around 4pm there was music and a lovely atmosphere around the pool and bar area. They should do this every day not just once a week and maybe do a happy hour? It made such a difference to the whole feel of the place when this happened. They do have the odd offer on a certain drink on a certain day but it’s just not enticing at all. They do have a rule of no reserving sunbeds. We found you could in a morning but come 10:30 the lifeguard is looking for bums on seats, (which is fair enough) we did see him remove some towels on one occasion and on another we heard him remind a large family of 9 they must all be on the beds or round the pool area to keep the beds and not up in the rooms or out to lunch. We came down most days around 9/9:30am and always managed to find a bed. If you come down around 10:30/11am they may be all gone. Always worth speaking to the lifeguard and he might be able to sort you out. We didn’t book breakfast so can’t comment, it is 18 euro if you pay on the day! The restaurant outside the hotel (not the hotel one) we had lunch and it wasn’t very good, neither was the Indian restaurant over the road (taj palace). Places we would recommend: Happy valley Indian (amazing)- commercial centre Brothers bar - commercial centre Motorcycle bar - commercial centre Star club - commercial centre Churrasso steak restaurant- commercial centre Napoli restaurant - amadoras beach We have had a lovely time and would come back for the rooms and the view, shame about the daytimes round the pool being a little stiff. With a few tweaks this could be the best hotel on the island, it just misses that holiday vibe for an hour or two in the day time. The hotel will arrange airport transfers if you contact them directly for around 60euro per taxi.

The staff are amazing, rooms are cleaned every day and bottle of water every day,we have stayed here loads of times and that’s why we keep coming back!Pool is fantastic and the breakfast are delicious Would definitely recommend, we come here with 2 older children and they love it too.

Stayed in July for 14 nights and loved the hotel. The hotel is located at the end of the harbour and it’s only a short walk to the beach. We had a harbour view and enjoyed watching the activity in the harbour. Great sized room, immaculately clean. Staff are courteous and dealt with any requests promptly. Great poolside area with stunning views of the sea. Would thoroughly recommend Marina Suites and Puerto Rico has a great choice of restaurants and a lovely safe beach. Enjoyed a fishing trip from the harbour. Would definitely stay here again at this hotel

Very nice room. We lived in the 9 floor with views out on the marina. The staff and accommodations was great. See you next year Marina suits, we will definitely book this hotel again. Try the restaurant beside the hotel El Puerto, best food we have had in a long time

Last night at marina suites, and really don't want to leave Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, suites are huge and have everything you could possibly need. The beds are super comfy with fluffy pillows, Breakfast was superb, the pool area is fabulous, although the hotel state no reserving of sunbeds this is not the case, best beds are taken by 8am... Food served at lunch by the pool area is amazing, good choice of drinks at the bar... The seating area on the rocks is gorgeous. Rules state no smoking around the pool area, saw people ignoring this rule.. Overall would definitely stay at Marina suites again...

We spent 10 days at this fantastic place. Loved the laid back & chilled, beachy vibe. Beautiful & spacious apartments with everything you need for a self catering stay. Stunning view of the marina from our balcony. Fabulous infinity pool where you could watch the water sports activities and the boats coming and going from the marina. Accommodation is within 5/10 mins walking distance of lots of lovely restaurants and bars as well as the beach and a nice leisurely stroll of around 15/20 mins takes you to the commercial centre or slightly further on to Mogán Mall. Overall I would most definitely recommend a stay at the Marina Suites in Puerto Rico.

The Marina Suites exceeded our expectations. We loved the unique Marine theme of the decor that continued throughout the complex. The over 18 sunbathing area with ballanese beds, Jacuzzis, lots of sunbed loungers, beautiful flora and fauna was very quiet and tranquil. The tub chairs on the waterfront made for great relaxation. We were fortunate to be there for the 20th Surprise Birthday Party which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would love to return and would recommend it.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for a week in January and had a brilliant time. We upgraded our room with the help of the brilliant staff. The rooms were very spacious, super clean and had an amazing view. The restaurant in the hotel was amazing with superb dishes with great help in choosing dishes by the waiters. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional with great choice and quality. The pools were very good and once it became windy, the adults only area was a great retreat. Again the pool staff were excellent being very helpful with the beds and the umbrellas, happily moving them to create shade. We had a brilliant time which was definitely enhanced by the friendly and very helpful staff. Thank you and looking forward to returning soon !!

Absolutely beautiful hotel and can’t understand why people go back again and again! The place is immaculate and everybody is so friendly. The views are spectacular !!!! Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Gran Canaria and so so glad we chose this hotel. If I came back, after going for a long walk and seeing different places this hotel would definitely be first choice. Perfectly situated on a flat level, but close enough to walk to all the bars, pubs and restaurants . Thank you, Marina suites for a wonderful holiday !
