Aparthotel Maracaibo

One of the best apartments/ hotels we have stayed at a great location. Small supermarket close to apartments packed full of everything ! Staff brilliant, felt like a family run place, facilities great and faultless. In general apartment was great ( we had deluxe room on top floor) well equipped and clean, lovely sea views, towels / linen clean and changed regularly, pool lovely and plenty of sun beds available each day ( for February) bar/ restaurant very good. Staff lovely and helpful. Kept clean & tidy. Food fresh and tasty. Maybe a better evening menu would be good or offer takeaway for the residents. On regular bus route to travel out of the area. Walking distance to town centre and harbour area. Lots of bar’s restaurants too. Plenty of taxis to get you back safely. Steak house opposite is excellent and make fantastic Barraquito…

Second visit to the Aparthotel Maracaibo as we really enjoyed our first stay so much last October. All staff are really friendly and helpful. Especially Valentino, Monica and Lisette on reception. Special mention to Lori at the bar who did a fine job. Rooms are lovely and cleaned every day beds made and towels change if required. Everything you need for self catering holiday. Spa supermarket 2 minutes walk over the road for supplies. Worth the room upgrade to top floors as view is amazing. Sunshine first thing in morning which is fabulous. Beach front short walk via private gate at back of hotel. We will definitely be going back.

Very nice rooms , air conditioning, safe etc all included at no extra charge . Close to all ammunities, supermarkets restaurants beach, bus stops , great staff . Plenty of sun beds available around the pool no towel baggin, happy hour excellent value 16.00 to 17.00 I would stay here again.

Just returned from a 10 day stay in this wonderful hotel. Location is great, near the beach and bars and restaurants . Supermarket close by. The staff are amazing and very helpful. Reception 24/7 with access to water, juice etc from the reception are out of hours. The rooms are spacious and cleaned regularly. The view is fantastic overlooking the ocean. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. There is a gate which is accessed using a code providing a short cut to the beach. Clean towels and room daily. The swimming pool / bar area is lovely and reasonably priced for wine and cocktails. Overall I would rate more than 3 stars. Beautiful hotel .

Wonderful hotel, spacy apartments, unforgetable seaview, perfect location, new furniture, helpful staff, clean and tidy! Definitelt the best hotel in Puerto Rico we have been to. This was our third stay and we will definitely come back for the fourth.

The hotel itself is ok, paid for an upgrade which is probably worth it for the extra towel changes. Cleaning was done to an acceptable standard. As for self catering, if you like microwaved food, fine. We ate cereal for breakfast but there is no oven, just a two ring hot plate and a microwave. Nowhere to put your pots to dry either! Location wise, HiperDino over the road is ok, not an extensive choice like the big Spar across from the Mogan Mall in the centre but sufficient for the basics. You’ll have to walk to the restaurants (or taxi of course!) but it’s a pleasant walk anyway, especially when you find the steps to the road below. I didn’t know about the feral cat sanctuary next door, that would have put me off booking because there are loads of the things roaming around but if you like cats, no worries. Not the hotel’s fault! Overall, I thought the hotel was a good base to explore, away from the noise that is in the centre but close enough to walk in and find everything.
