Servatur Hartaguna - Adults Only

Very nice quiet apartments at Hartaguna. Everything is spotless, beds and pillows are lovely. Great drinks and food at the chill out/pool area on level 4 - just a shame that is only open until 5pm but there’s no problem sitting at the tables until the sun disappears, with your own wine and snacks. My only complaint is that we paid extra for a seaview room but allocated one on the 2nd floor overlooking the back of the Montebello and with a noisy generator below our balcony. Didn’t care much for the Commercial Centre and restaurants but that’s just personal choice. The harbour area is nicer, and about the same distance. Plenty of taxis around if you don’t fancy the steep walk.

We had a great time at this hotel and hard to find any fault. On arrival we had a couple of small issues in the room but these were sorted out very quickly. The hotel is modern, clean and very well equipped, we were self catering and had everything needed for this. The pool area is stunning with loads of sun beds and loungers on the terrace and there is an amazing view towards the sea, as the location is quite high up on the side of the valley. Loved the pool bar and the happy hour cocktails were awesome and great value for money. Its location does mean there are lots of steps up and down into the town, so not ideal if you have any mobility issues, but there are plenty of taxis around. The room was cleaned and towels changed most days and all communal areas were spotless too. All staff were very friendly and very helpful throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. In summary we had a great time and the hotel certainly lived up to expectations. If we came back to Puerto Rico we would definitely stay here again.

Nice rooms, modern refurbished and clean, but oh so small rooms We paid extra for the premium room with terrace and pool, which was good but overpriced, for example we paid over 300 euros for the Saturday night when staying for a week?!!! There is nothing like bars or restaurants locally, you have to schlep 15 minutes down hill every time and 20 minutes and 250 steps back up again. There are far better apartments far cheaper in other parts of the Canaries. Staff were great but we most certainly won't be making a return vsit

High quality modern apartments. We had a jacuzzi suite on the ground floor which had a very large terrace overlooking a small garden area and had a slight sea view. It got the sun between 8am and 4pm. The bathroom was small but nice with good water pressure and good lighting. The kitchen was well equipped however was missing salt and oil which we had to buy which seemed a waste. The hob is modern induction which made cooking quick and easy. The beds were very comfy however pillows were too soft for my liking, I'd bring a firm pillow with me if I were to return. The upper pool area was immaculate with plenty of sunbeds. There was lots of room for everyone, It only ever seemed half full even though the hotel was fully booked. The pool was warm enough for end of February. What I liked most about this hotel is the relaxing atmosphere. There were no strict rules like other hotels. We even enjoyed a late night dip in the pool without issue. The reception staff and cleaners were all very friendly. Puerto Rico in general is fantastic. A seemingly unlimited choice of bars and restaurants just a 10 minute walk away. Weather is usually the best of the canary islands due to it's location and sheltered from the wind. Overall, if you're fit enough to climb the many many steps between the main center, I think this hotel is incredible value and is of a very high standard. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I needed a quick low budget bit of sun, so took a last minute gamble on this place after reading some mixed reviews. Rooms are basic however clean and tidy with all The things you require for a self catering holiday. The view from the balcony is fantastic overlooking the town and the sea in the distance. Fantastic when it’s all lit up at night! There is a snack bar open from 9-4 and the prices are fairly reasonable. The food is nice for a snack bar and all cooked to order. There is no bar or restaurant in the evening which is a bit of a negative if you don’t want to venture out after a day at the pool. You can apparently order Uber eats to the hotel if you wish. We didn’t do this as we’re happy to go out. There are plenty of sun beds in the pool area and there’s no need to go early and put a towel down. This is a big plus. There are 100’s literally 100’s of bars and restaurants near by. 10-15 walk or 5 minute cab journey. Word too wise get a cab back! The hotel is situated at the top of a very steep hill and the walk is not for the faint of heart. As others have alluded to this is a very quiet basic resort. If you want pumping music and party atmosphere this is not the hotel for you. Mainly couples with a very relaxed quiet atmosphere. I would definitely return to this area of Gran Canaria as there is so much to do and so much variety in the local bars and restaurants, I would not likely return to this hotel. It’s not a bad hotel, I just prefer to have a few more amenities available to me. But we knew this when we booked so it is not a complaint.

Hotel was excellent, very clean and bright. ROOM Room was cleaned 5 days a week, you were also given a pool towel and in room safe for FREE. There was a microwave, hob, kettle, fridge and toaster in room, handy as only self catering option avialable. There was little to no space to hang dresses etc, two small cabinets for everything else but we managed ok. There was only 1 mirror which was in the bathroom, could have dione with one in the room. Balcony was brilliant even though we were on the ground floor we were overlooking the town and sea views, also had Astroturf down so nice to walk on and a good table and chairs. Air con was very good. POOL Absolutely excellent position, same lovely views as from room. Pool was cool but as we were on the right hand side of the valley (looking towards the sea) it warmed up as had sun all day. Plenty of sunbeds, umbrella's and tables / chairs, no rush at all. Never ate at the pool bar but everything we saw looked very good. Unfortunately the pool bar closes around 5pm so needed to go out for drinks etc STAFF Reception staff very friendly and helpful LOCATION Set UP on the hillside, lovely views but was quite a walk down to resort centre, checked once and there was 850 footsteps registered on my Fitbit and this included nearly 190 stairs!! Taxis were available for approx 4 or 5 euros but we never needed one. All of the supermarkets are in the town - everything you could need, however there was a small shop in the hotel Monte Bello which was just across the road and they had fresh bread baking all day, As well as water, juices, milk at reasonable prices. RESORT When you've walked the walk you wont be disappointed, large selection of shops and bars and restaurants in both the new and old shopping centres which are next door to each other, would need another review to cover the available shopping experiences and dining options. Evening meals came in anywhere between 30 and 50 euros for the 2 of us - food and a drink. Harbour with beach was nice and approx 20 mins walk from hotel. Took a boat to Mogan Bay for the day just to see somewhere else. Will definitely go back for winter sun at some time in the future
