Honestly, the place was okay. Had a lot to offer but definitely not as great as they advertise it to be. A lot of things are under construction or not well maintained.
They were also quite unresponsive to emails and calls prior to and during our stay. Taking up to 4 days before getting a response.
But what really hurts the experience is the reception. They aren’t very welcoming or accommodating at all. I booked this place for our honeymoon but it didn’t feel special at all. I had messaged them in advance but we were assigned a double room instead of a king. Requested to transfer but their general tone wasn’t very understanding. Only after I had complained about the room having a broken shower door they transferred us to another room (still a double though). Even then the room we got moved to had a stinky shower area due to the drain not working. It overflowed every time we showered. I didn’t say anything though since the guest services seemed very annoyed every time I called and I didn’t want to be a difficult guest.
There were also a couple of instances the staff had forgotten my orders at the restaurant. I don’t know if this is because they are understaffed or just forgetful. The pool attendants, room attendants, and security staff were always so polite and nice though.
The place and the service (especially) didn’t quite match my expectations based on their advertising and reviews I had read. But I guess if you don’t have any expectations this place is okay.
