Brilliant location, lovely and clean and the staff are lovely. Pool is big, lovely snack bar. Great hotel at a bargain price, will definitely be back

Don't go here. Dirty, tired rooms, in need of refurbishment, stained sheets, towels that smell. Groups of males/females partying here. We have been coming to Puerto del carmen for 25 years and this is the worst place we have stopped. If we could give it a 0 we would, won't be back.

Just returned from our stay at Plaza Azul and it was average. On arrival it looks quite ok but looking closer it's a tired place. 5A was our room top apartment directly opposite the pool bar. On arrival the room again just looked very tired and dated. Curtains opened, doors opened onto the balcony and boom pool bar music and fried food. Just what you don't want. I know everyone is different but I don't want listen to pool music from morning to night everyday. Back in the room to unpack again it's seen better days, wardrobes grubby but plenty of space. The bathroom again was of a past era grubby and tired one bath towel moth eaten and I could virtually see through it. Kitchen 10/10 perfectly functional and the best fridge we've ever had on holiday😁. I had to hire the remote for the TV only for the news on a morning 10€. It didn't work no sound at all. After hours of trying just give up reported it. First the cleaner tried to no avail left still no sound. Following day someone else had a mess around and the sound was on that's after 4 days though. Money returned no TV. So all in all it's for me average, tired it needs some help 4/10.

Room was dirty and when the cleaners came round they didn't clean properly/thoroughly. The sheets werent changed for the duration of our stay as there was still a stain that was there when we arrived. Towels smelt and weren't replaced for 5 days and when we asked cleaner for new ones we were told no. Fridge was rusty and the cutlery was the same and unsanitary. No sweeping brush to clean up and the only cleaning utensil was a dirty bottle brush we had to buy a sponge. The balcony chairs were rusted and unsafe and the hob didn't work properly. Not a safe place to come if you have kids. Only saving grace for this place is the location.

The Hotel was clean, well run and with attractive pool side apartments. Unfortunately it was suffering from its age. The rooms were noisy due to their limited sound insulation. Internally facilities were limited. Towels etc were changed regularly but were thin, the kitchen had a limited mixed bag of utensils and although there were three items of electrical equipment there was only 1 plug socket! It would also have been nice to have had one sink plug in bathroom or kitchen that fitted the hole.

The beds were comfy but the apartment could definitely do with a deep clean and re painting. Also rooms were cold on a night this time of year. Pool snack bar was excellent, the staff very friendly. Drinks and food a reasonable price. Great cocktails

On arrival we got given keys to our apartment. It was late we were tired we ere given the corner room 28 . It was crap basically! It was dirty . In dire need of updating the bathroom door was swollen it didn’t close , pure back mould rust stains , dirty skirting , rusted chairs outside .i asked to move , woman on reception was really rude and said no I have to wait until the morning . I was not impressed I refused to unpack , reception in the morning I had to pay 30 euros to move hotel Policy ! I reluctantly paid it got moved to A1 on the corner lovely view full sun apartment was a little cleaner . All week I watched as people went into that corner crap apartment and moved rooms they are raking it in! The pool is nice but cold didn’t stop us just don’t look at the bottom with goggles on. Bar - is fab very lovely couple running it alongside the pool bar . The apartments are up the hill not get easy walk . Tbh I wouldn’t stay again , needs a massive overhaul of cleanliness
