We visited the hotel in July 2025 as a family of 5 we paid extra for a suite with a terrace we asked for it not to high as my wife isn’t keen on heights they gave us the 14th floor it was odd layout one big room and one small room the balcony was huge but my wife hated it as was so high , the rooms are tired need modernizing bathroom was had no ventilation at all smelly bath and tiles where super slippery my kids and i slipped several times . You had to pay for safe in room however fresh drinking water was appreciated daily . The carpets where thread bare and scabby lifts where slow and clunky . Food wasn’t of a good standard most was frozen and largely tasteless staff worked hard but for £5000 we expected a lot better food and snacks , snacks where only chips dry hot dogs and overdone cheese toasties . Pool area was ok but small when busy wasn’t much room to move . A little girl cut her foot on a tile in the pool which was cracked from what i was told the hotel took no responsibility even resulting in being hospitalized remove it good acceptable in my opinion!!! . The staff where present to us and worked hard all in all we had a nice holiday but the hotel is not 4* definitely 3 max needs improvement and modernizing wouldn’t return as is not true value for money .

Vacaciones con un niño de 3 años que donde mejor se lo ha pasado ha sido en la piscina del hotel. Bien situado, cómodo, personal amable y como decía, excelente piscina. Servicios adicionales como gimnasio o spa también muy recomendables. Se nos hizo muy corto 🙂

The hotel staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful, the food is good, always a decent selection, bars are fine, again a good selection available. Our room has a huge wraparound terrace, it is a bit dated but cleaner is in daily to help keep it spotless. The evening entertainment is just what you would expect in a holiday hotel Two minor complaints, lobby toilets are always closed for cleaning at mealtimes and you are instructed to use toilet on another floor, surely schedule cleaning for times when restaurant is closed. The 8.30 rush to reserve sun loungers is ridiculous as many reserved loungers are empty for hours and sometimes all day long, it would not be difficult to sort out a system to avoid this. Most of these unattended loungers even have parasols reserved.

We had a lovely stay at Bahia Principe Felipe. The location is perfect, and the hotel was always spotless. The servers were absolutely fantastic – friendly, attentive, and truly the highlight of our stay. The pool area is great, and we never struggled to find a sunbed, which made relaxing so easy. The food was decent, but the desserts were disappointing and repetitive – maybe the pastry chef was on holiday, as the website shows much better options than what we got. Overall, it’s a nice hotel in a perfect location, with amazing staff, but the dessert section could use an upgrade.

As 4 star hotel it is a total disgrace that hotel Bahia Principe San Felipe in Puerto de la Cruz is trying to be cheap out on the straws. Namely instructing personnel not to give straws to its customers for drinks at the bar. Most of the drinks contain acid and ice. And forcing customers to drink it without a straw is causing lots of damage to the teeth. If it is 4 star hotel, it should operate as 4 star hotel and not as cheap 2 star hotel which does not care about the health of its customers.

I had a much needed break with my daughter at the hotel and we were both delighted! I wish we’d booked longer than 7 days. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy. The bottled water left in the fridge each day was a nice touch. We had a wrap around balcony with lovely views and I enjoyed my coffee there each morning. The food was plentiful, presented well and there was enough choice for even the fussiest of people! We were all inclusive and had two nights where we eat at the Italian. We used the pool, I used the gym and felt safe in the area walking or running at 6am each day. All of the public areas in the hotel were spotless. All of the staff we interacted with couldn’t have been more helpful and we appreciated the opportunity to pay a little more and have a later check out. We would come back and I would recommend to others.

Just returned from this hotel and can honestly say we had a great holiday went for 9 nights arrived quite late had 20 minutes of the All inclusive bar left and the restaurant was open for a snack before bed. We was on the 10th floor not realising our view till got up in the morning was overlooking the sea and our balcony wrapped round the side of the hotel with amazing views. Food was very good at all sittings wide choice of meats, fish, pasta etc plenty of salads and vegetables to choose from catered for all tastes continental and international. The 2 A la Carte restaurants were good preference the Italian menu but they both had a good choice and was nice. The hotel could not be any cleaner they are constantly cleaning communal area and rooms every day very impressed. Drinks were great local spirits good enough mixers all branded and San Miguel on tap you can pay for branded if you want but really didn't need to. Cocktails were great too. Area outside of hotel was very nice lots of bars restaurants and shops. Beaches are volcanic rock so if you are looking for a white sandy beach go elsewhere having said that there are ladders going into the sea from the rocks which we were told was great for snorkeling. We would definitely return, yes the rooms do need an update but for the amount of time you should be spending in them they are fine can also get all British TV too in the room. Water left in rooms every day in mini fridge which was handy. Entertainment was good day & night also the kids club looked fun from what we saw. All inclusive all had a great time
