I have taught on many retreats now and Semilla Verde is by far the best. The food, villa, staff were exceptional. Everything was organised with ease. The activities were splendid and very punctual. A yoga studio with giant tortoises outside every day. How can you beat that. I dont know how I will do a retreat now after such an amazing experience.

I led a yoga retreat here and my expectations were surpassed! I travel with One Yoga Global and they only work with top properties! Cattya was always available when needed and everything was organized perfectly! The beds are excellent and the a/c at night was appreciated. The kitchen, housekeeping and grounds staff were impeccable! This is a great property run with the highest level of hospitality!

Very comfortable room; slept incredible! Second floor with balcony, including hammock. Cattya and staff were fantastic. We had daily meals, they easily accommodated my vegetarian diet. The coffee was delicious, grown on site. The fresh juice was delightful, also made on site. Taxi into town was $7 each way. Daily walks with the giant tortoises was fascinating!

Semille Verde is a slice of heaven. The grounds are beautiful, the room was amazing, and the service was phenomenal. Cattya took excellent care of us from the moment of arrival until she saw us off with a warm hug. If you are looking to experience the wonder of the Galapagos outside of a cookie cutter hotel experience, Semille Verde is an excellent choice!

What a perfect way to experience the Galapagos islands! I'm so happy my wife and I chose Semilla Verde Boutique Hotel over a hotel in the town. The grounds are wonderful. We walked the paths and saw the tortoises multiple times per day. It was an easy 10 minute taxi into town for tours, restaurants, and other activities when we needed it. But we loved the quiet and tranquility at Semilla Verde. The pool is refreshing. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The coffee is grown on the property and makes an amazing breakfast even better. And we used the yoga/fitness studio every morning. What a perfect hotel for us. Highly recommend. And we used Guiding Galapagos Tours, who also made our stay in Galapagos an amazing experience.

We had the pleasure of staying a week at Semilla Verde. We were in no way disappointed. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you are happy and taken care of. Catya the manager has truly found her calling. We have never come across someone who so genuinely wants to ensure you are enjoying yourself. The food is amazing and all freshly prepared by the amazing cooks. The freshly squeezed juices are addictive. The tours they can arrange for you are top notch, and all come with a naturalist. The rooms were beautiful and spotless. They can even do some of your laundry if need be. The trip was so wonderful we plan on returning in the future. Tortoises are a plenty on the property and Saba the resident lab will guide you down the many trails protecting you from these beasts. Ha Ha. Do not hesitate to book your stay here. It is truly heaven on earth. One thing about Ecuador. Do not drink the water. It is not safe for consumption. Semilla Verde has purified water in your room as well as throughout the property, as do hotels in Quito.

Perfect setting for our yoga retreat! From the beautiful grounds (with a bonus giant tortoise who hung out in the shallow duck pond and peered in the studio window) to the lovely, clean and comfortable rooms to the delicious meals our group enjoyed, I could not imagine a more perfect setting for our week on Santa Cruz Island. Cattya and her staff are exceptional --- knowledgeable, kind, efficient and professional --- they made sure our every need was met. Cattya arranged transportation and guided excursions and was flexible regarding any last-minute changes in our activity schedule --- they even managed to order up a total ***** eclipse during our stay! Semilla Verde is magic --- highly recommend!!

Loved the natural beauty of the place. Our room was very good and very well kept. All the facilities were fabulous . Especially loved the yoga studio n the tortoises by the pond. Food was great and service was really great at all times. Manager provided great information for all our excursions.
