The Ellery Hotel

My wife and I came to the Ellery Hotel in Provincetown to celebrate our first anniversary together and we were very delighted with our decision. Location: This hotel's location was just perfect for us to be very close to Commercial St and the Beaches and Pier , but far enough away from the noise at the end of the day. Just a simple walk down 1 block and the noise and bustle of the main street dies down and you enter a peaceful residential area nestled just adjacent all the fun. After a long day of sight-seeing and activities, it was so relieving to have a quiet peaceful place to return to rest. Atmosphere: The layout of this Guest House Hotel was very eloquent and serene. There are several small buildings surrounding a beautiful little courtyard with luscious green plants and outdoor seating fenced in from the public view. This made it feel like a private experience, even if we were not the only guests currently staying. This location would be perfect if we were planning to rent a full Guest House for a Wedding or large event. Amenities: All the typical things you would expect from a Hotel despite being a Guest House. and then More! To our surprise there was a special Wine and Cheese event complimentary while we were visiting! Immediately upon arriving , the owner transformed from gracious host and greeter, to the concierge. He promptly welcomed us and told us about Provincetown, and without even asking, he provided numerous recommendations for places to eat, sights to see and visit, and events attend nearby. Including several complimentary vouchers for food/coffee for the nearby market which much appreciated. There was also a Steamroom, two Saunas, and a Hottub. We passed by several other guests staying and all of them were kind friendly, no one hogging the facilities, and no extreme noise. It felt like the rest of the guests staying were also respectful of the peaceful ness of the hotel. As to cleanliness, it was very clean. I was glad to see the Hot Tub being drained and re-filled daily, as one should be. The owner even offered their towels (from their towel warmer! ) bring with us down to the beach! Overall, we were very happy with our visit to Ellery Hotel. If you want to visit Provincetown, and stay right next to all the fun, yet still have a private and peaceful resting place to return to each night, then this is the place for you!

The hotel staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the complimentary wine and hors'd'ouvres and had a small birthday celebration in the courtyard, which is beautiful! The room was perfect, clean and pleasant. Location is a plus for just walking around town in either direction and also getting to the beach! Loved the table and chairs on the balcony outside our room for morning coffee easily gotten from Far Lands up the street with our complimentary coupons!

Our first time at this hotel and will not be our last. We loved the property, and the room was large (a luxury in Ptown). There is also a hot tub and sauna on site. Marc Anthony, John, Michael and the entire staff were incredible. It felt like we were long time guests returning. In fact, I couldn't believe they sent a bottle of champagne once they found out it was my partners birthday. So thoughtful and an amazing surprise.
