"Really nice boutique hotel with simple but very tasteful furnishings. Clean comfortable. Mario the boss is always available to give tips and history of the Island. The Staff are really helpful. Breakfast buffet was amazing. The Gardens are a hidden gem, especially the dining area under the lemon trees. We stayed for 3 nights and had 2 full days to explore the Island. A few minutes walk from the hotel is the old lighthouse foundation and rocks you can swim off."

"I was disappointed with this hotel from arrival till we left (two nights earlier than booked for). We arrived late due to missing a ferry and were told we could check in, in the morning. When we went to the desk there was no one there, we went to breakfast and mentioned we hadn’t checked in and was told it was breakfast time. We tried again after breakfast and before going out with no luck. Once we did check in we were finally given details - WiFi code, door code etc. After we checked in we found out there was a private party in the pool area which made in unusable up till 6pm - we were not informed of such event when we checked in 10 minutes earlier. Two days later after a long day visiting Pompei we wanted a quiet dinner and early night only to get back to find there was another private party with a DJ that went on till midnight - again we were not notified which meant we couldn’t use the restaurant or have an early night due to very loud music. At this point we booked a new hotel (at an additional £200 cost to ourselves) to try and salvage some of the holiday that had been less than satisfying. When we checked out the next morning the owner did not enquire why we were leaving, ask if we’d enjoyed our stay or said anything that would lead you to think they cared. Such a massive let down as all the reviews looked good, and the hotel is lovely…..unfortunately the management let the hotel down. I would not recommend staying here."

"We stayed at this wonderful hotel for several days with friends whilst attending an event. A charming hotel situated in a lovely peaceful garden with a pool. We were very well looked after by Carlo and his friendly team. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The meals were delicious prepared using local produce. Thank you! We can't wait to return!"

The location was very beautiful, including the garden and the place where breakfast is held. Our room was perfectly clean and functional, the set including a toothbrush was much appreciated. From there, in twenty minutes on foot you can be anywhere on the island (eventually the bus stop is right next door)."

"The economy room located on the ground floor doesn't have a good Wi-Fi connection. The room is very dark and the bedding is average. When you open the front door, you're greeted by the smell of gasoline from a nearby wind tunnel. The garden and generous breakfast don't compensate for the exorbitant price for such a room. The bathroom is fine. Location-wise, it's in a quiet cul-de-sac, quite far from the port, given the size of the island. Allow a 30-minute walk to the beach."

"Managed to book this wonderful exquisite hotel for our last two days in the area. Travelled the short distance by ferry from Naples to the beautiful Procida. Short bus trip from the harbour to the hotel was really easy and stress free. Greeted by pleasant and polite staff who showed us to our room. Wow, beautiful! Then spend the rest of our day, by the pool, in the well manicured top class secluded garden area. The pool was fabulous, with incorporated jacuzzi jets at the shallow end. Outdoor showers and toilet facilities nearby as well as a well stocked bar. We were served by really friendly staff who made us feel so special. Already love this place and cannot recommend any higher! Well done to the staff and management here, we will hope to return again and again when visiting this wonderful area."

"Relax and take sun, enjoy Limoncello and late dining. This was perfect place for us for 1 week holiday at Procida. The appartment was cosy and clean on top level. We arrived at monday. Unluckily the restaurant was closed on that day, but the staff pointed a good place to eat. It really was. The staff it really helpfull and speaks english. We ate every day breakfast at calacala. As Finnish people, we drink lot of coffee and they served us with no problems. The dining was perfect also. Please taste Lasagne, rabbit Pasta, Bayer Tiramisu! 5/5, dont skip this place."

In addition, as the chateau beds room was running on the road, there were noises of cars and motorcycles at night."

"My friend and I spent a few days at La Casa Sul Mare 2,years ago and we knew we would return. This time we stayed for a longer visit and that was the right choice. We had our lovely, large room with an equally large terrace and a fabulous view. It was a pleasure to enjoy the company of the helpful reception staff who gave us great recommendations. Breakfast was the most delicious- the finest tomatoes, divine pastries, tasty yogurt, homemade jam and tons of fruit. The coffee was superb . The company, Franco , Giovanna and their son, Piero made us feel welcome and at home. All of this took place in the beautiful garden. A delightful way to begin the day. The building is handsome. The rooms are comfortable , clean and have as n old fashioned charm. One feels transported!"

"I have just returned from six nights at the Solcalante Hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful position and has lovely views from the terrace overlooking the island of Ischia. However, it is totally let down by the management team. This hotel is run by those who are very lacking in any people skills. They are non- communicative and unfriendly. They did not even give us eye contact during our whole visit. Fortunately their staff were kind and hard working. Breakfast staff and cleaners were very helpful. They kept the rooms and pool clean and tidy. Two events were held at the hotel during our stay (without any prior warning) and we were asked to leave the pool for a private function. We were restricted from the bar area or able to sit on the terrace. ( reserved notices were left on all of the chairs/loungers). These parties were large and very busy and noisy. We felt we had to go out even though we had planned a quiet evening and to have dinner at the hotel. There is only one restaurant in walking distance from hotel. ( 10mins walk). The events were on Saturday 14th ( 4pm-very late) and on the Tuesday ( 12-6). When I complained to one of the management team he was very rude and said “We had only booked a room at the hotel not a pool”. This was totally incorrect, we booked bed and breakfast with all the amenities the hotel has to offer. I am 68 years old and my husband and I have extensively travelled. We have never come across this bad attitude before. Also the hotel advertises having a sauna and massage services, there were no evidence of either. Also the solarium is a neglected empty roof space over the hotel rooms."
