Prairie Voyager

Based on my experience staying at this motel, it would be at the bottom of my lodging options due to my many issues. PROS: Cheaper quick 1-night stay possibility CONS: - No Micowave to use instead of ordering all the time - There is No Closet or Hanging Hooks on the wall for clothes, etc. - Busy train tracks across the street. Average 2-3 trains an hour. - lukewarm water for showers - The first-floor rooms have poor soundproofing; noise from upstairs can be annoying, especially when trying to sleep. - The pillows & bed are very dull with barely any comfort level. Tip: bring your pillow & neck rest pad to reduce the risk of waking up with neck pain Check-in Tip: Bring a UV/violet sterilizing light to clean the room from dust and possible germs still lying around on furniture or the bed. I noticed the bed was dusty, and the sheets felt itchy, like nobody had changed them. Hey there, business owner! I just wanted to give you a quick heads-up. We needed a place for one evening as we traveled from Illinois to Minnesota. Will definitely stay again when in the area and need lodging. We didn't need fancy or luxury, the Prairie Voyager was perfect for us. Good location on main road, walking distance to Dairy Queen for an evening snack. The manager was friendly, even got us ice for our drinks! I've stayed at a few other Motor Lodge places, they advertise "Quaint" (not renovated since 1950) the Prairie Voyager has been upgraded, new flooring, paint, bathroom fixtures, was clean.
