Xenios Dolphin Beach Hotel

TERRIBLE hotel, far from a 3 star service. BAD food and drinks: very limited choice, nothing for children (no fries, no pizza). You have to pay extra on top of the all-inclusive price if you want pizza. SMALL room and TINY bathroom: old furniture, cracking sounds, old shower, toilet and sink, bearly space to turn around. NO RUNNING WATER before 22:00 hrs. Very now and then few water drops coming out of the sink at daytime. SMALL swimming pool: the pictures on the hotel’s website are totally misleading. SMALL beach, mix of sand and stones. Sunbeds are included in the all-inclusive price but they are covered with people’s towels 24 hour. NO reaction from the hotel’s staff on this. Moderately helpful staff, far from a 3 star service. They are not much of a help on major issues, such as water shortage. WASTE OF MONEY vacation.

Arrived at hotel around midday, to a very unprofessional receptionist, during my-check in process a very rude staff member was demanding payment for tourist tax even before checked into the room, there was very little information on activities timings of meals. We booked All Inclusive package which stated when booking all food and drinks where readily available throughout the day with only ice cream for the children being changed from unlimited to set meal times, There was very Basic food available with specific foods ie chips pizza and gyros & burgers all requiring additional cost starting from €9 for gyros / burgers & €5 for 1 portion of chips. I have a Austistic child who has very specific needs and with the basic food available lead us to purchase food every meal to ensure he has had something to eat. The food on offer wasn’t to a all inclusive standard fruit wasn’t eatable , most of pasta dishes were from the day before, When speaking to the hotel management to request little variety changes they point blank said no ! It stated in the brochure plenty of variety of food & drink this wasn’t the case only 6 drinks available on the inclusive package this consisted of Cola , lemonade , orange , beer , coffee and rose wine additional water was required to be purchased at €2 per bottle. The service from the bar staff was somewhat unsatisfactory with them concentrating more on the paying customers ie passers by. There isn’t any entertainment at all . This was stated in the brochure that there was. The hotel facilities around the grounds were very dated and damaged and this included the umbrellas and sun loungers. In addition to this the clothes hanger attached to external of the room being broke, shower facilities being no more than a trickle of water and the shower curtain being held up with fishing wire. For the cost of this 7 day Holiday for 2 adults & 3 children was £3750 to which is very overpriced given the facilities on offer I would advise anybody thinking of booking this venue to serious think twice before paying for it as there are plenty of other places with better value for money. After travelling to Greece before I am truly aware of there traditional hotel standards but for an all inclusive they are very overpriced and very false advertised. I will not be returning to this location.

I visited for second time xenios dolphin beach and my experience was nice as the first. The stuff was helpful smilie kindly the food was tasteful with a very big variety based on greek cuisine. That impressed us is the chef was there in every each meal per day and welcoming us on the restaurant. On the bar was an amazing person antonis give us nice drinks and cooffes.

We had a really nice time at this hotel. The staff were super friendly and welcoming — from the reception to the bar and the restaurant chef. Service was great throughout our stay. The food was also tasty for this type of hotel. I’d totally recommend checking it out

Been there from the 21st of September till 27th. There are so many wrong things about this place, so much potential just wasted because of the people that own this place. 1. The food was always similar, breakfast and almost always the same and the thing that shocked me and my husband is that we have NEVER BEEN SERVED SEAFOOD. That’s why we went in Greece, for Baclava, greek salad, seafood, diversity and we had ZERO. It’s shocking that this hotel is basically on the beach and yet they serve beans and peas and cold pasta …. They put lots of chopped tomatoes on the plates they display the food on to trick your eye and make you believe that there are lots of food .. but its actually almost always the same.. and it is not even tasty. I saw a review on tripadvisor a couple minutes ago saying that the Chef was welcoming everyone and chatting with the customers… We never saw the Chef.. and I think that’s because they don’t have one.. you don’t need a chef to chop some tomatoes and put some meat in the oven then throw it on the table… everyone can do that. I started to think that they write their own reviews. Even tho we had all inclusive, we also had to find a restaurant nearby so we can eat what we came in Greece for, ended up spending 100 euros at a tavern close by, but so well deserved. 2. The bar, which is basically 4 walls with a table on the centre where they displayed the bottles of drinks is so poorly managed and so old . They have a fridge where they keep the only red wine they have and serve and you can actually see the dirt on it. If you have all inclusive, you can only drink 3 cocktails, tap water, some liquor, draft beer and that s it. The cocktails are the most tremendous I’ve ever had .. basically they put half of red wine in all of them.. then they add soda, limonade or some kind of disgusting liquor depending on which one you choose. And they never give you a glass to drink from, only plastic cups.. I once asked for a glass and they said I had to pay for the beer if I want it in a glass. Disgusting. 3. Another thing that shocked us, was someone that supposedly was the owner of the place. This man sits every day at a table on the street and observes people. That s all he does. Every day we saw him wearing the same tshirt, same cap and a pair of mirror glasses so we never saw his eyes or where he was looking. The amount of disinterest he has about the hotel is wild. This place has so so so much potential but he just don’t give a sh about it. There was also a woman presumably his wife who was alway chatting with the customers that were just passing by for a meal or drink. Never engaged with the hotel customers . 4. The images you see on their profile are so far away from reality . The pool seems big and beautiful but its actually so so small and the water is freezing all the time . The tv is very old and they have like 6 channels in Greek and one streaming in English. The bathroom has a basic shower with no shampoo or any kind

The hotel was amazing near by the sea , the staff was smiley and helpful.The rooms were cleaned as like all the common areas the bar the restaurant the reception. The food was tastefully with a lot of choices in both meals per day. I feel thankful i spended a very nice and pleasure week in posidi
