Albergo Filippo II

We spent three wonderful days in the fantastic setting of Hotel Filippo II. We received a very warm welcome, a wonderful Seaview room with two balconies and enjoyed the fantastic hospitality of all team members. Great food-dinner was fabulous and the whole setting is magic. We would’ve loved to come back in October, however, the hotel closes at the end of this month. What a shame!

What a wonderful hotel. The location, rooms, and staff provided a very pleasant stay. This was the first time that I have stayed at this location, but I have been to PSS 5 times (family). Great views, clean spacious rooms and the staff was very willing to take care of all your needs. Tons of very good restaurant choices, close to nearby towns (Porto Ercole, Island of Giglio, Grosetto, PSS) and of course shopping. Also, you have the beaches. I would highly suggest to check out this location.

We selected this hotel for a weekend at the beach . We often spend time in the Argentario area but was the first time at this place . The pictures on several sites are misleading . I booked a room with partial sea view but i found a view on an access path to the rooms . On the outdoor , the view is blocked by some hedgerows in a shared area .The furniture are dated and tired , and the room was larger than expected . The bathroom isn't among the most modern , but clean . Unfortunately the place can be very noisy , due to the other customers passing by the bedroom window at any time of the day or the night . Including screaming kids at 8:30 AM or and elder " gentleman " standing by my window , smoking and cursing on his cell phone at 23:00 .The pool isn't great : very narrow and shady by 17.00 . The access to the beach was closed due to unknown issues .Breakfast isn't a great experience : we were there at 10:00 , 1/2 hour before closing ,most of the food was gone and we were told : " that's it ! You will get what s left . Breakfast is almost over . "Besides , very limited selection , except for Crostata , Cornetti or other italian style breakfast . A positive note : the people at the concierge tried to help at the best : kind and professional . I will not return at the price paid .I am not sure how this place can claim 4 stars . It has a great position , but surely , lacks of proper care .

top location, but: * room was seemingly not (well) cleaned at first day * ac without a users’ manual - no ease of getting it working * breakfast: my god, this is italy: no tomatoes, no fresh orange juice (spremuta) ……… * bathroom: shower facility must have been designed in past century (not for 4* accor hotel) * pool: frequency of cleaning (preferably in early morning times) truly not enough however: very nice and helpful staff, including hotel’s director

Non si può non dare il massimo dei voti a questo posto meraviglioso. Struttura a picco sul mare, camere pulitissime, ristorante con cibo ben cucinato e di alta qualità, personale e proprietari che dire “ospitali” è riduttivo. Abbiamo viaggiato con un cucciolo di cane di 4 mesi che appena arrivato ha subito fatto pipì all’ingresso esterno e nonostante ciò ci hanno accolto e lo hanno accolto con sorrisi, feste e complimenti. Per me ormai una garanzia, ogni volta che vengo all’Argentario soggiorno qui. Grazie di esistere!! ~Grazie anche da parte di Dante~

Posto incantevole. Location bellissima e in posizione strategica per visitare la zona. Le camere hanno una vista mozzafiato e il personale è preparato e disponibile per tutte le esigenze dei loro ospiti. Ristorante molto buono con terrazza e affaccio sul mare. La colazione è da veri fuoriclasse.
