Overall I feel this is a decent hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful overall, the room (refurbished) was comfortable with a nice enough view. The hotel's design is quite stylish, though the fascias as you come into the drive could be modernised. Rooms are cleaned efficiently each day. The pool area has strange green carpet on one side which has seen better days. The spa looked more luxurious. My biggest gripe is with the breakfasts. The coffee in all its forms was awful. Why do hotels insist on installing machines that make awful coffee? Similarly there was no decent fruit juice unless you wanted to pay €5 for the privilege. The quality of the breakfast ingredients was questionable. The bacon was very strange - like bad vegan bacon in flavouring - and inedible. The eggs were often cold. The hash browns were just weird. The continental breakfast ingredients were better but overall I did not enjoy the breakfasts at all. If the hotel invested in decent coffee and breakfast ingredients I would think about returning. As things stand I probably wouldn't. There is a beach bar connected to the hotel that does good food but it wasn't always open over Christmas. The restaurant food is ok but there are several other restaurants nearby. The hotel is well placed midway along the very long beach and there is a small shopping centre and patisserie only a small walk away.

Nice hotel, good service and flexible means on arrival and leaving. Luggages could be left to hotel beforehand and after leaving from room. This is importand due to late ferry on friday. We could have a full exploring day on leaving day also without the luggages being dragged along. If you arrive with boat take a taxi or public bus 944 to hotel. Taxi is under 10e, bus under 2e. If you decide to walk via road it takes ovet an hour, via Beach 45min. From the beach you need to map yourself in as there are no signs of info. Good beach-cafe, good food and helpful staff.
