This should be a condemned Reaort , they say under construction. That's a lie staff says the construction has been on hold for 10 months . The place is in absolute Shambles!! It's a total catfish with great advertising and website . DO NOT GO !!!!!

We had a great time for our anniversary at Sandpiper Bay. Positives: The service from all staff was pleasant and very friendly. The food truck Lucy's was fast and food was good for a quick snack. The cucumber mint cooler was an amazing drink. The email bartender at the adults only infinity pool was amazing and down to earth. The bartenders right outside the buffet, next to the ping pong table were great also. Negatives: There were not many bad things to say except 2 things. When you have a day pass and you get in the lake or the pool, there was not a place for people to take a shower and change clothes. We asked the front desk and they said they only have the bathroom to use. I hope this changes like other All inclusive resorts in which they let you use the SPA to take a shower and change clothes. Or possibly if the resort is not packed. Have 1 room available to go change in. The 2nd thing that is probably part of the renovation plan is to have a true walk way through or around the sand that connects the 2 pools. Instead of walking through the rooms to get there. And the rooms on the 1st floor with sand out front should have a gate that can be opened and closed because people can look into the rooms and possibly walk in on someone in the rooms. I'm not saying anyone will just walk in a room, but the rooms need more privacy. Overall, had a great time and we will be back with more people

We went on a trip to celebrate my brother’s birthday with some friends. We love coming here so much, the staff is so welcoming and nice! Kate in the dining room was so nice to us. We have to give a special thanks to Mariana for helping us with whatever we needed, she is truly the best. I will definitely be back again soon! We had the best time. Thank you guys for making our trip the most amazing time!

I made a reservation online and there was a mistake in the reservation as it only listed one person in the room. The room rate was $108 without taxes. When I arrived and told the front desk my son would be with me at nights since he was going to be at a soccer camp at the academy adjacent to the hotel. They told me they would charge me an additional $140 per night for my son to stay with me! So I called Wyndham central reservations and after 20 minutes they had it resolved and told me there would be no additional charge for my son. I went back to the front desk and the person there said he couldn't see the adjusted reservation on his screen. So I called Wyndham again and this time the agent came back apologized and told me he was furious because the front desk was so rude to him and would not make any changes. But the front desk offered to cancel my reservation for a fee of $900 and if I didn't want to do that I would have to pay the $140 per night for 6 nights ($840). When I spoke to the front desk again they said they would not do anything for me. I called Wyndham again and they said the hotel would not make changes. So I went back to the front desk and told them I would pay the fee as I had no choice. Then I asked them to print out a copy of my reservation so I could see how much they were actually charging me and they would not do this for me. My son and I get to our room which was supposed to be two twin beds and two day beds. There was only one bed in the room. So I called the front desk and they said they can't hear me so I hung up and called back now they wouldn't answer. So I called from my cell phone and the front desk manager, Kyle, answered. When I told him that we got the wrong room he told me that two twin beds is the same as one bed in this resort. He offered to upgrade me for a substantial increase in rate then he said there was nothing he could do because he couldnt get information on his computer. He connected me to Wyndham again and they said they would call back in one week. So I gave up and went to the hotel dining room for dinner. The food was horrible. The cheapest possible food I can imagine. None of my issues came from the fact that a portion of the hotel is under construction. So now I am paying almost $300 a night to sleep on a couch (they won't tell me how much I am actually paying). There is no excuse for rude employees. I used to be in the hotel business and I have held events at Wyndham hotels before. I will never hold another event at any Wyndham hotel based on the treatment I received at the Sandpiper. I fully realize I might experience retaliation but I want to make my experience clear.

This property was purchased by Wyndham in 2023 and is undergoing extensive renovations, making for a terrible guest experience. Our experience was so bad that we decided to go home early, forfeiting the rest of our stay. While the room was comfortable, the whole place is under construction. Most of the pictures in Tripadvisor date from BEFORE the renovation, when the property was still nice. The pictures from this review were taken in July 2024. - There is a make shift reception (main reception building unaccessible). - All the vegetation has been pulled out or cut down, leaving for a barren landscape. - The the day-beds have all been removed, replaced by thousands of longue chairs. - The restaurants are closed, leaving guests a small, rickety buffet area and a food truck. - The watersports concessions is mainly unattended, feeling abandoned. There are no more sailboats. - Service leaves much to be desired - we were turned down for breakfast at 9:50 am as the buffet "closed" at 10:00 am.... - All the charm has been stripped away. We paid a lot of money for an underwhelming experience, and ended up going home early.

I was supposed to get married at this location in February 2025. I booked my wedding a year ago and I had 65 of my close friends and family traveling down to the resort for it. However, on November 10, I had someone called to book a room and they were told that they were not taking reservations in 2025 because they were closing for six months for renovations. That is how I found out that the resort had canceled my wedding. It took someone a whole day to call me to actually tell me what was going on. The only thing they offered was to help me find another hotel in Florida to get married(very few options especially in our budget since it’s three months away). However nothing close to what the resort was offering with it being all inclusive . We lost 1000s of dollars on our deposits from our vendors that we can no longer get back because we had to cancel them three months before our wedding. We have reached out to the resort Al in particular was very nice and trying to be helpful at first. However, we have asked them to help cover the cost of all of the money that we have lost and we have now received no response from anyone. Al is only a event coordinator to my knowledge. We never even had a manager or anyone in upper management reach out to apologize for canceling our wedding three months before and us having to find out from a guest. Terrible terrible would not recommend.

Was supposed to be attending a wedding here in February 2025 - until others in the wedding went to book, and saw on the website the resort is closing! No warning, no call to the guests, or THE BRIDE!! I called the front desk and he said bottom level employees have known for a couple weeks and that upper management has known for months! And no one decided to call the bride/groom to let them know that their wedding, 90 days out, is cancelled! This trip has been planned for so long and we were coming from Ohio! Now they are not responding to any messages from the bride or groom and they have lost thousands of dollars! Disappointed, disgraceful, unacceptable, etc! Hope your “renovation” is worth it because you just lost TONS of customers!!

If I could write -1 stars I would. My sister was supposed to have a wedding here in Feb 2025. They decided to close down the resort for 6 months starting this December and NEVER TOLD HER. She found out from a guest trying to book. By far the worst communication we have ever dealt with. They are out all the money from the deposits from their vendors. Sandpiper is now IGNORING them. I would never recommend this place to anyone. No one knows what’s was going on. It was hard to even book our room in the first place. You never hear back from them. The place was supposed to have all its construction done by this past may of 2024 which obviously never happened. How could you cancel a wedding THREE MONTHS OUT and not even reach out to the bride. DO NOT COME HERE. You will not be satisfied. They will probably never be done with construction either.

Terrible customer service experience. We booked our vacation in October for 6 at Sandpiper Resort and purchased our airline tickets for Palm Beach. Sandpiper abruptly notified us a month later that they were canceling our reservation. They didn't offer a discount for any future booking, no acknowledgement of the airline cancellation fee that I would be charged. I called Wyndham customer service and was told that Sandpiper was an "independent affiliate" and that Wyndham had no responsibility for any customer service issues related to their resort. Really terrible customer service.
