Niramaya Villas and Spa

Beautiful resort. Villas are amazing. We went to Port Douglas for our 25 year wedding anniversary. Resort was close to everything - main street restaurants and shops just 5 min drive away so we hopped in our car most nights and went out to beautiful restaurants. Highly recommend Salsa and Malaleuca (a bit fancier and pricier but food is exceptional), Irish Pub nice too. Niramayah is worth every penny. Our villa was amazing - clean, modern and had every conceivable thing you need - kitchen fully stocked, coffee pod machine, washing machine/dryer, beach towels, beautiful shampoo/conditioner/body wash. We didn't cook whilst we were there but if you wanted to everything is there that you need. We had our own beautiful pool which meant we didn't need to leave our villa to go to the main pool area. We loved the privacy. Grounds are meticulous and beautiful. We had a small gift waiting in the fridge on arrival from the resort for our anniversary which was lovely too. Friends had also organised through the resort to have champagne and a cheese/meat platter waiting for us. Resort staff are very helpful and go out of their way. We had breaky at the resort which was nice and I had a massage at the day spa which was amazing. Can't recommend this place more. As the saying goes 'you get what you pay for' so definitely worth the money. Would stay there again if I returned to PD.

We had an incredible 5 nights at Niramaya villas in mid October. We have traveled to many luxury hotels across the world, Niramaya really stood out for us particularly in terms of value for money. We stayed in Villa 41 (2 Bedroom) 2 adults & toddler & a baby. we requested an infinity pool & received just that. The villa was stunning, gardens were immaculate, pool a nice temperature. The villa was spacious with beautiful bathrooms, double garage with a stunning view across the little lake. It felt very private and was quiet. We booked direct through the hotel which included a $100 food voucher per day. One thing to note is when travelling with young children the second bedroom is quite far from the Master bedroom. Our baby monitor range did not reach, as a result one of us had to sleep in the same room as our toddler which was fine. Also there are rainforest noises throughout the night, so if you are a light sleeper I suggest ear plugs. We want to thank Ranaul, he was a wonderful staff member who went over and above to make our stay memorable. We will definitely be returning!

Niramaya Resort and Spa is one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. The villas are clean and well appointed and the grounds of the resort are spectacular. We stayed in a three bedroom villa which is perfect for groups or families. The staff were lovely. I highly recommend Niramaya

I cannot fault the outside of this resort! Amazing! Main pool, etc.... Staff incredible and very accommodating A+++ service! We stayed here based on the amazing reviews we read. I'm sure some villas are lovely,: HOWEVER... we must have had a crap villa (villa 14) - the couch was shocking, the cushions were all out of shape and you felt like you were sliding off them when sitting on it, needs upgrading big time! OMG and bad ant problem!! Need to put better ant bait down (I know it's hard as outside has lush gardens). You need to keep all food off surfaces otherwise ants galore! Beds were not comfortable at all, def in need of an upgrade to nicer style beds (especially when you pay for luxury pricing). We paid $4500 NZ for 7 nights, felt it was really not worth that at all. We had electrical issues as well, however the staff did fix. Also the onsite restaurant closes at 7pm!! and the main pool at 7pm as well, way to early in my option, some people like to eat later and if you want to eat at say 6.30pm you literally have 30ins to eat a meal! Port Douglas was very busy, so we would have liked to eat more at the onsite restaurant but couldn't because of the closing time. Also the main reception closed at 6pm.... really really early if you need to see them about stuff (if you getting back from doing the stuff in the day, they are then unavailable when you get back from doing stuff in the day) Was a shame that our experience was not good as it really does spoil the holiday. Hate to say but we were looking forward to leaving at the end of our stay :( ... Would not stay here again based on our experience. :(

We spent three nights here last August for some relaxation mid way through a trip to Queensland. The resort was beautiful and our four bedroomed luxury villa was perfect for our needs. We were a family of five and loved the layout. We made full use of the dining credit and option for the food being delivered to our room. It was always efficient and the food was lovely. The staff were very professional and helpful. They called us on our arrival day to let us know about a serious traffic incident and advised us of alternative routes. We would recommend a stay here for a Port Douglas base.

The location, rooms and the experience to stay at this location was most enjoyable. If you want to stay somewhere and not have to stay in a one room hotel this is the place. We had a villa that had plenty of space, pool, outdoor area, barbecue etc this is a place for you.
