In common with many Bahia guests, we return very year, usually more than once, confident of a warm welcome, and friendly and efficient service from reception through housekeeping to the restaurant team under Francisco's able management. Well-travelled and discriminating, we acknowledge this small hotel's downsides: formerly a family home, not all rooms have a sea view and some are small; acoustics are dated; the terrace restaurant is open to the public, putting pressure on dining space. However, these are far outweighed by its unrivalled position on a quiet stretch of the beautiful Pine Walk within a short stroll of amenities, its elegant seafront terrace and authentic Spanish atmosphere. Bedrooms are simple, but spotless, and supplied with a kettle and useful fridge, iron and hairdryer. Beds are comfortable, bedlinen crisp. Beach towels are provided. The breakfast buffet is extensive and beautifully presented. A welcome drink and dining discount are available to hotel guests. Now part of Hoposa Group, the Bahia has largely resisted corporate re-branding, retained its core staff, and hopefully will continue to do so. Accepted, there are slicker, cheaper accommodation options in Pollensa, but none with such charm.
