I booked this accomodation (Sequoia Room, king bed) based on reviews I read. There is nothing in the hotel information that states "all rooms are located on the second floor". Under accessibility, it states "no elevator", however, I put in my reservation that we needed a first floor accomodation due to physical limitations with walking stairs. We followed the requirements for checking in to obtain our room keypad code and I sent a note to verify we had a first floor room, The reply I received was all rooms were on the 2nd floor, up a staircase. We followed the owners recommendation to use our Apple Map on our phone for navigation to the location. Even with this, the signage once we turned off the main road, was limited, especially for locating the road that led to the property. Upon entering our room, I did notice it was clean, and nicely decorated. There was no information on how to control the heat, we tried the thermostat, that turned on the fireplace, but we did not want to leave the fireplace on all evening. There was some type of speaker device on one of the end tables, no information on what this device was or how to use it (it was not an Alexa device). As instructed in the information received, we went over to the first floor lodge area to obtain additional coffee pods (only two in our room) and towels. While the bathroom was clean, there was absolutely no storage for our personal hygine, hair and face products. I used a tiny window ledge for the main items like our deoderants, shaving items. It was a small single sink, no countertop space. The toilet was in a small room next to the shower, but no door for privacy so only one person could use the bathroom at the same time. In the bedroom, there was also no room for storing our clothes other than a closet with two hangers. No flat surface or dresser to hold our clothing and I dislike having to go in to my suitcase to find my clothes. I did not want to place our clothing on the fireplace hearth. The location of the property is nice, we did see some deer. It is not "walkable" to any other places like shops or restaurants, it is out in the countryside. While the furnishings were nicely done, and the owners were communicative, we were disappointed with this accomodation due to having to climb stairs (with great difficulty), and absolutely no place to store our personal things during our stay. I know each room is individually furnished so other rooms may be better to accomodate guests. This accomodation also needs to update it's information to state that all rooms are on a second floor with stairway access only. This will help those of us with limited ability to do stairs make an informed decision.
