Valamar Parentino Hotel

Valamar chain didn’t let us down .. again! Parentino hotel is a great location near the sea, has 3 pools, 2 slides. What a beautiful vacation with our daughter. The stuff was great, especially Edis - kind receptionist. Restaurant had a great variety of food. Great vacation!

A very nice hotel lovely room food good and friendly staff. However it was blighted by the fact that dogs were allowed which is a big no for us. Also I think security should be looked at as on two evenings a least, local youths came through the fire door and were running riot in the corridors knocking on doors removing pictures from walls and causing general mayhem.

Very great experience in the hotel both to have funktioniert with your family (all kind of kids activities, Kids club, Pool, beach, evening events) and to get time for yourself (great yoga classes, many other sports activities, very good food). I would recommend it to everyone.

This hotel is better catered for the young family. if you have teens I wouldn’t bother. The entertainment is for pre teens, the young ones wake you up early bur we got scolded by parents of young kids for making sounds at 9pm. You can’t get any snack lunch unless you want to walk a mile. Porec is lovely and not far so the location is not bad but adult time at the hotel sadly lacking. Rooms are good, very impressed with cleanliness and housekeeping staff very friendly.

This hotel is great for families with small children, the hotel has two pools and a small child’s pool with fountain, a few slides that our kids loved! The pool kiosk has an inflator machine that you can use free of charge to blow up rings and inflatables. Towels are free each day but must be returned by end of the day, there are plenty of sun-beds and no need to get up early as the hotel was very laid back and always free beds around each pool. Sun-beds at the beach are chargeable, guests of the hotel do receive a discount but i think they should be free to guests. The beds under the pine trees are free, great if you like the shade. There is a mini golf course charged at €3 euros per person. The beach is lovely and clean, a couple of bars around and toilets. On check in we found the reception staff not that informative, they literally check you in and expect you to know where you are going, no maps or info, we had to ask where our rooms were. The hotel on the outside looks very dated and could do with updating, the inside is fresh and clean, the rooms were large and spacious, ample storage and huge beds. We had rooms on level 1, both with balconies, one with a view over the bike park and the other a slight view of the pine trees and sea. The family room was great and spacious for two adults and 2 kids, they had a sliding door to separate the rooms for privacy. The bathrooms were clean and modern, nice toiletries included. The hotel is a 10 min walk to the old town, lots of entertainment in town from the fun fair to live music. Lots of bars and gelato shops, gift shops etc. The buffet breakfast was good, same thing most days from continental to fry up and fruit. Dinner was good, but again the same thing served most nights, grilled meat, stew, salads and cold meats. Soft drinks are included with dinner. The bar drinks were reasonable around €8 euros a cocktail and €5 a beer. There is a local supermarket called Plodine about 10 mins walk from the hotel, well worth a trip for bottled water and cold drinks, we loaded up our mini fridge. All in all we had a great time at the hotel. One negative is the glass ware and tea pots/cups were damaged, several times we had cracked glasses on our table and broken teapots and cups. Top tip: get to the restaurant early to avoid the crowds, when it is busy you can barely move!

We stayed at Valamar Parentino for a family summer holiday and had an overall enjoyable experience—especially thanks to the fantastic pool area, engaging entertainment program, and the wide range of facilities available. What we loved: • The pool area was a daily highlight. Clean, well-maintained, and great for kids and adults alike. • Sports activities were well-organized and fun—we joined in on a few and had a great time. • Bike rental was a breeze, and riding the nearby pump track added an adventurous twist to our stay. • The general facilities are clearly designed with families in mind: everything is accessible, and the hotel feels safe and welcoming for children. What needs improvement: Unfortunately, the dinner service was extremely disappointing and completely out of step with the rest of the experience. While breakfast was decent and managed in an orderly fashion, dinnertime felt like complete chaos: • The restaurant was overcrowded, loud, and stressful—getting food felt like navigating an obstacle course. • Wait staff were clearly overwhelmed; most evenings, we weren’t even asked if we wanted drinks. • The atmosphere during dinner didn’t match the comfort and ease we felt elsewhere in the hotel, which was frustrating given the otherwise high standard. Final thoughts: If you plan to eat dinner outside the hotel or opt for an early seating, you might avoid the worst of the evening rush. Otherwise, be prepared for a very hectic experience.
