BO Hotel Palazzo

Huge room. Great great location!! Sweet town. This hotel is centrally located and a pleasure to stay in. Huge room with great bath room with makeup mirror! Good towels. View of the sea added onto our patio! Clean!

The location is perfect and the public rooms and vista are lovely. The hotel is very clean and well presented. However, the rooms are dated which we dont mind but not well thought out. We were in room 214 and the wardrobe is atrocious. There isn't enough hanging space and what there is, is dreadful. Hanging garments front to back makes it very hard to find clothes. We did have a sea view but over a very long flat roof top which you can't walk over. The breakfasts are a joke. They were really short staffed and the waiters were expected to wait on people, clear tables and top up anything that is running out. Which it did, constantly. Normally kitchen staff restock food This gives the kitchen staff time to assess when food is getting low and notify the chef. Instead, when bread etc ran out, customers were waiting 10/15mins for the bread to come out of the oven. NO fresh orange juice. Just concentrates. No plain croissants just chocolate. Very disappointing. We really felt sorry for the two waiters they were constantly apologising and saying thanks for your understanding. I will be surprised to see how long they'll stay. We did enjoy the hotel and holiday. However, there is room for lots of improvement.

This is a beautiful hotel, so very clean and friendly staff. The hotel stands out above all the others along the harbour. Definitely will return to this stunning hotel Great choice for breakfast, replenished very quickly. Shout out to the bar manager, who works very hard through the day A tip if you book with Jet 2 you will be dropped off at a car park with no further instructions how to get to the hotel. So get a note of the hotel direct to phone them for the shuttle bus to collect you , totally let down by jet2 also room wasn’t ready untill four o’clock which again jet 2 didn’t notify us of. Great choice of restaurants around this hotel, food is amazing plus large portions

I stayed 5 nights here. The price is 4 star, but the level of the hotel is not. The location is great, if you dont need your car. Parking is far away, you have to call ´the shuttle every time, and you pay 10 € additionally for parking. The drivers are very friendly and helpfull. Check in was OK. The standard room is quite small, no kettle for tea or coffe. The bed was comfortable, generally, very clean. The fridge was out of order, so I never used mini bar. The bathroom is tiny, more space is needed to leave your toilletries. The towels have seen better times. The toillet brush fell from the wall. The shower holder - be careful, because that one also is moving left and right, will not keep long on the wall. The balcony is a great thing for smokers, but rusty table, just no go. I didn´t visit spa. The breakfast: I understand we are not in the high season, but 5 days always the same things, 5 days scrambled eggs? If you want boiled eggs or omelett, you have to ask, they make it for you. Breakfast juices - they never saw the real fruit, just water with artificial taste of cherry, orange, pineapple. The coffe is decent. It´s okay to have the high price - but you have to offer something for that price level. Food and drinks of higher quality, perhaps? It happened few times we found a note on the reception desk- I´ll be back in five minutes - so we had to wait and wait. I have impression that some ladies working on the reception desk are without any experience and instructions how to work with guests in 4 star hotel. Anyway, I hope for the future guests it will change for better, but I don´t think I will come again.

The Bo Palazzo is a very special hotel, with a rich history and southwest facing location at the end of the marina jutting out into the harbor. It is lovely, impeccably clean, very stylish in a classic way, and very customer service oriented. It is within very easy walking distance of everywhere in the small old town and, although it is on the far west end of the peninsula that is old town Porec, it is not far (20-30 minutes) to walk through the Riva and marina area to reach the grocery stores, shopping mall, and shady park with walking paths and beaches (and the occasional WW2 concrete pillbox defense structure) on the far eastern side of town. The sunset views are lovely as are the views of the marina, riva, and sea. Parking is offsite, at the large Valamar lot near the large community sports center about 10 minutes away. It is safe. Call about 10 minutes before you get to the lot and the hotel van will come to pick up and transport to the hotel. It’s about an 8 minute ride to the hotel. The hotel has a pool area but no beach, and there were no suncobrans (sun umbrellas) this year. The hotel breakfast is still a nice buffet but the offering has slimmed down noticeably in the past year. The bread is some of the freshest and most gluteny that we had anywhere in Croatia this year. The fresh cut fruit is particularly good as are the omelettes. The cereal selection is skimpy – mostly all nuts and muselix. Seating is both indoors and outdoors; watch out for scavenging seagulls outside. The Suite in which we stayed was beautiful, with solid burnished wood panels, large picture windows on three sides, a large balcony facing the water, a bedroom with a sliding wooden door, a living room area, a large formal dining area with a very large table, an office area, and two full baths. The windows open, which is nice. The AC is individually controlled and works well. The window curtains do a good job blocking out light and sunlight. The lighting is very decorative and classy chandeliers, chandelier sconses, and lamps. There is a large empty hallway at entry that is wasted space in which some storage tables / chests of drawers would be very useful. There is a small frig hidden in a desk in the far corner of the dining / office room area; you need to take out the hotel’s products to make room for your own, The large master bathroom has good sink shelf space but we cannot use the shower ….it is a large jacuzzi tub with a shower head that is a hand held only (not mounted high enough to use as a showerhead) and there is no curtain or glass wall to contain the shower water in the tub, vs. on the floor, nor to shield the person taking the shower. The small bathroom off of the main door has a walk in shower which is a self contained unit. It has excellent water pressure and is easy to use, although it is dark. Lovely hotel. Ideal location. Breakfast excellent. Had an evening meal at hotel very good indeed. Walking distant to old town and boat excursions. Staff lovely. We travelled by car and parked out of the town however we got lost and the hotel mini bus came to our aid and get us to the right car park.Downsides to the hotel are that Mini bar is very expensive. $18 for a small bottle of wine. Very small pool with cabanas and sunbeds but some selfish people felt it was justified to not only put their towels on a cabana but also on sunbeds as well. We were only there three days and in that time we saw people put their towels on beds by 7-30am then disappear for the whole day and come back at about 3pm to 4pm. New people arriving were having to sit on chairs at the bar due to no beds. We complained about this to the hotel reception but the same people did the same thing the day we were leaving so nothing was done about it. This is a big issue at this hotel. If not bothered about lying at the pool can highly recommend.
